BluRay menus

Hi, I recently ditched streaming services and I started buying and digitising BluRays onto my NAS.

I went ahead with a Fire TV stick 4K Max. It's great. I am able to direct stream 4K from my Jellyfin. The problems started, when I used VLC to open a disc menu of a Gladiator. The experience was really great and it's much much better than just playing it from Jellyfin. That's when I decided I need the disc menus.

From the research I did, CoreElec has a better support than LibreElec which made me buy a budget Xiaomi Box S 3 instead of using my spare Pi 5. I plan to use BDMV format stored on my NAS.

Is this setup going to work? I also have a USB BD reader. Is it going to be possible to play Blurays directly? I read that it's possible to install MakeMKV which decrypts the disc

Thank you!

Edit: one factor influencing me is also the ability to choose extended or theatrical version from one disk. I have seen many discs that I have to include seamless branching to add an extended version into one disk. I spent the whole night trying to create MKV with seamless branching (it's called different for MKV) but Jellyfin doesn't even support it.

The other thing is that I will have extras easily available (if it works) instead of having to either spend a lot of time organising it into Jellyfin (aka manually exporting and naming the extras based on the length which is really time consuming) or grabbing the BD.

Another thing is that I can create a really "low" quality mkv (4GB or less) for streaming outside my house as I don't intend to stream 30 or 60GB files through the internet.

This is by far the best box you can buy today, for any kind of media streamer, whether you want to run Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, Kodi, or CoreElec. It has been rooted and you can do anything you want, replace stock launcher etc.

Its much better than the Shield Pro which is overpriced and has many limitations. Its as good/better than the popular Android boxes. And its far cheaper.

Hey guys, I haven't set my Ugoos player up yet, but am curious if I'm to use this thing rather sparingly, at least not enough to leave it on all the time, when I do want to use it, is it going to take forever for it to load my 54tb library of 4k movies to the front end - like the movie artwork and info etc. from the selection screen each time I boot it up? Just curious, I bought the Ugoos and ripped my library almost a year and half ago and never got around to flashing it with coreELEC ..but the thought has come across my mind a few times - am I going to be in for a long wait every time I boot this thing up with this size library, ya know? Thanks guys!

Stats overlay for Dolby Vision Fel

Hi, I could have sworn the first nightly build I installed on the Am9 pro had a remote button operated stats overlay which seems to be absent on newer nightly releases. What's the simplest way to get this back?
