Thought this group may get a chuckle out of this R50V setup. I have a 5D MK IV and 16-35 f4 and 24-70 f4 for my landscape work but I saw the r50v on sale and thought what the hell and bought it with the rf28. Then the little gremlin in my mind got going and decided to use the canon speedbooster adapter for my 16-35 which effectively becomes an ~18-40 f2.8. Pretty ridiculous setup but I’ve gotten some great video out of it so far and it’s great indoors for keeping ISO down.

Any tips to get sharper images without so much noise? Shot on 60D

Hello, as the title says I have a Canon EOS 1200D that wont turn on.
I bought this on eBay knowing it was a gamble as it was described as for parts due to it getting very wet in a downpour, but assumed I'd be able to fix it with some Isopropyl and patience.
I received it today, stripped it down to give it an iso scrub to find that there is absolutely no sign of moisture anywhere inside. No water marks, no corrosion, no crusting. Every wire is attached as it should be, nothing is rattling around inside, I see no issue. It is absolutely spotless internally, so I gave it a quick once over with some 99% IPA, let it dry off and reassembled it.
As I was doing this I ordered a battery charger and an SD card for it to throw in once the battery had been on charge for a bit, so I've got it all put back together and left the battery ok charge for an hour or two.
I've gone back to it, taken the battery off charge and put it in and there's still nothing. So I've tired again with the SD card in alongside the battery, still nothing.
I have not changed the CMOS battery as that's for time and system config as far as I am aware.
The little clip thing inside the battery door is indeed getting pushed when the door is shut and I have made sure that I am actually turning the switch to on and not adjusting something stupid instead.
The only thing I can think of it being now is one of the little brass pins inside the battery compartment is slightly lower than the other two. I know some electronics do this intentionally to make contact first, break contact last sort of thing, and I've looked online but cannot find any pictures to reference.
It's pretty gutting really as I've never had a camera before and I was looking forward to getting this going. I'd love to see it come back to life again, so can anybody please help me?

Hi all, I have an EOS R50 with the 18-45mm lens. I’ve been using it for over a year now and love it. I’ve been wanting to look for a lens with a higher focal length. My camera is mirrorless and I’m still very much a newbie so don’t know exactly what I’m looking for.
I was looking at a new lens, the Canon EF 75-300mm 1:4-5.6 III, Would that work for mine? I heard something about maybe needing a lens mount then for that specific one. I’m not really sure how that works, would anyone be able to explain? What type of lens mount would I need, if at all? Is there another lens that wouldn’t require it?
I’ve only got a basic understanding of how this all works but I’m eager to learn more. My main goal is to take good quality photographs of birds that are at a distance.
TIA

Does anyone have any gear they would sell to me for a good price, I'm looking to upgrade from my 60D?

I've tried new batteries, leaving the batteries out for an extended period and trying again, nothing works. It's just stuck on this symbol as soon as I put in the batteries. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix it?

Hi everyone! I’d appreciate some advice from experienced wedding videographers.
My wife and I have been graphic designers since 2012, but as design projects are becoming less frequent due to AI, I’m considering transitioning into wedding videography, something I’ve always been passionate about.
I’m planning to start with this setup:
• 2x Canon R6 Mark II (one camera for me and the the other one for my wife).
• Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8
• Canon RF 35mm f/1.8
• DJI RS 4 gimbal
• DJI Mic 3
• 2x 512GB UHS-II cards + 2x 256GB UHS-II cards
• Nisi ND 2-32 82mm
• Godox V100 flash with softbox and light stand
My current budget is ~8500e. Looking forward to buy all these in the upcoming black friday deals.
I’d also like to use the equipment for commercial work, such as promotional videos and restaurant/product photography, using the Godox flash and softbox.
I haven’t worked professionally in photography or videography yet, but I’m willing to work pro bono at events and with local businesses to gain experience and build a portfolio before taking on paid clients.
For those already in the industry: Does this setup make sense? Would you change anything or recommend different gear? I’d especially appreciate advice on whether my lens choices and lighting setup are suitable for weddings and restaurant photography.
Besides this, I need to also upgrade my laptop in order to be suitable for video editing. I was thinking that this would be a good option. My extra budget for the laptop is 2000e. What do you think about this?
Lenovo 5 16IAX10H, Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX - 5.4GHz, 16" WQXGA, 32GB, SSD 1TB, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 12GB, Free DOS, Eclipse Black
Thank you so much in advance,
Cosmin

I can see the new photos I took in the blue button gallery on the camera, but when I connect it to a phone or computer it won’t show the photos I’ve taken after August 4th. Any idea how to fix or what happened? I’ll answer any questions.
