Scrapped silva armor resprite I made a little bit ago

Again, like my Yharim sprite post, been meaning to post some sprites on here to showcase after the Calamity implosion. I'm super proud of these and don't want to not show off what could have been.

I made these sprites mainly due to how much I like Silva and Braelor's concepts by CosmicMango. Their concepts showcases redesigns for the Silva armor and I had to give an attempt at respriting the silva armor to look like what was in the concept art.

While I think these sprites majorly improve the quality of the silva armor, I can understand why the developers voted no on this redesign being implemented (not to mention the likely hood it wouldn't have been implemented at all due to the implosion). Its way too close to the design of Tarragon armor, and in private was told that it most likely would be accepted if/once Tarragon armor was removed and replaced later down the line.

This has got to be one of my favorite sprites made to date, and its sad to see that its never going to be implemented. The look of everything was primarily based off of how Triangle designs their armor sprites as well as other pixel art conventions introduced by the calamity artstyle.

Yharim sprites I made a long while ago
Since calamity imploded, I've been meaning to post some calamity sprites I made for it or some addons. Now that the discord is back in good hands, I though I'd post these.

After I got the threat from Ozzatron over the Yharim addon I was helping to make, he eventually came to us (owner of the project, not me) and apologized for the threat. In his apology, he mentioned being more open to communicate with Yharim addon developers, which I took him up on.

I created these sprites while preparing a design document for a Yharim addon that I planned to show to Ozzatron. This document still sits uncomplete as I didn't get to show Ozzatron what my plans were before he offered me an official spot on the Calamity team to work on Yharim Officially.

Unfortunately, nothing went through as only 2 months later I would be rejected for low spots on the team for programmers as well as the whole implosion happening days later after that as well.

I did somewhat hope that these sprites would become the official sprites for Yharim, as they fall within his canonical height as well as all official concepts of his. Though I still feel uneasy over his pauldrons and hair.

What do you think about this boss?

I love Calamity mod and I replay it roughly once a year, but I've been detached from the community and the recent events. All I know is it got sabotaged by a pdf dev once again and that the discord got hacked few days ago.

My question is: is it safe right now to download calamity + calamity music from the steam workshop?

I also know development is halted, but is the core experience impacted in anyway? did any content or music get removed? or I will still get the same experience and enjoy the mod the same way I always did?

Last but not least how is compatibility with addons like infernum, Catalyst mod and wrath of the gods?

The overhaul mod author (Hocha) asked the wife of totalbiscuit (the one who the halibut cannon was dedicated to after his death) if It was okay for the to remake the weapon to what It is now in overhaul (the halibut).As a response totalbiscuit's wife said It wasn't a problem unless payment or micro payment methods were involved (in order words,using It for personal gain of money).Hocha even shared what halibut looked like and got quite the response

If you disable frame skip for me, it just makes the game run slower, making bosses way easier

The invite link from the Calamity website no longer works. I was removed on the 13th when a moderator from the hacker group decided to remove everyone in the VC as a joke.

I was a member for a few months before it was taken over and only celebrated after proper ownership was restored.

It’s been awhile, around 60 days since the Scars of Calamity situation. For those of you who don’t know, scars of calamity was yet another remake mod that emerged from Calamity’s downfall. The Owner, Niaomi_lazuli, a 17 year old. was found out to have been sexting and exchanging nudes with a 14 year old dev on his team, also using his position to try and silence and manipulate her when she wished to speak out. Niaomi has admitted to this and since been Banned from all Main calamity discords after TikiWiki(Cal Mod) and Fluffy(WotG mod) reviewed the evidence.

DISCLAIMER: Let me stop you here for a second. You can look at this and say “a 3 year age gap isn’t that weird” or “this technically isn’t an illegal relationship in most parts of the world”. This isn’t about the morals of a 17yr and 14yr dating. This is about the predatory abuse of power and the exchanging of Illegal material. A 3 year age gap between minors is very fucking weird IMO. Since the victim (Flandre) has since deleted all social media for her own mental health, censoring of her name isn’t necessary. I have been granted full permission on her behalf to discuss publicly about the situation, although I have no contact with her now.

I was personally involved in this case. The victim came to me specifically and informed me of this wrong relationship. It was heartbreaking and shocking to hear. She knew it was wrong yet still thought it was love, but above all else, she wanted the mod she worked so hard on to not crumble apart, and he exploited that vulnerability.

Deleted (the main dev of Ashes of Calamity, he’s another Piece of filth still in the community who’ll I’ll need to make another post on) took these screenshots and leaked them to Niaomi to help cover up the situation. Niaomi then confronted The victim with them.

This post was made in 30m and obviously rushed, I have so much more to share. I have put days into doing all the initial research and activism months ago and it’s taken so much out of me. I thought that if I trusted that he’d be banned completely from the community that it would be okay, but I was wrong. Niaomi is back in the community, interacting and posting while people are unaware of his actions, and he’s apparently making a Mod called Annihilation. I am terrified that another innocent person will be found victim of his disgusting mind. Please don’t let this situation be buried, please don’t let him get away with this. It’s late but I will respond to comments when I can.
