Socializing learn to be respectful towards others please
today at my 8am class, i had to work on a participation activity that required a group consisting of 2-3 students to work together. we were supposed to watch a cartoon video, analyze their behavior and take notes. one thing that i noticed abt my partner was that she ignored me after i mentioned how cute the animals are, i was like ehh whatever idc. few minutes after watching the video, we got started on the worksheet, i noticed that on the worksheet that it says that prof will go over the assignment at 8:30, it was 8:15. i politely asked my partner if we could go ahead and start writing some answers down, keyword POLITELY! she ended up getting defensive and hostile towards me, yelled at me and shoved the paper in my face, i was shocked and started breaking down, i had a horrible week and this was my breaking point. guys, we are in COLLEGE not high school, not middle school, not elementary, COLLEGE!!! A UNIVERSITY!!! we are grown adults, please learn some manners and start being kind towards one another, you never know what someone is going thru, i understand that we tend to lash out or snap, but a nice "give me a few mins im thinking of smth," in a nice tone would be better than yelling at a student that sounds like a parent is scolding their child for misbehaving, in fact, people who tend to lash out don't make a person feel a sense of shock or shove something in their face, also as a psych major, its weird how u wanna study this major, yet u have no empathy. thank u for reading
