Stats Ohio state has received 6 holding calls since the start of the 2024 season. (2 1/2 seasons of football)
Since game 1 of the 2024 season Ohio State has had 7 holding calls go in their favor. 1 against Marshall in 2024, 2 against Notre Dame in the championship game 1 against Texas last year, 1 against Texas this year and 1 against Indiana in the BTC. Lastly 1 holding call after the roughing the passer call this Saturday at Indiana.
In comparison the average holding calls per game is 2.3 in college football.
The offense has been called for holding 24 times in the same time period.
Are referees trying to phase out the holding calls? Seems like the NFL has become more aggressive and college is barely calling them. Is it a uniform color combo problem? Do they need to not blend in as much. Are coaches not teaching the sell to the refs?
Not sure why these are being missed on the biggest stage.

Discussion "If Arch goes back to school... I don't think he should go back to Texas if Sark is the coach." What do Texas fans think of this? 🤔

Meme /Funny Big 12 saved the Universe during the BYU - ND game.
I have learned through someone I know, who knows someone else, and they know someone, that not letting Notre Dame have that missing second saved the universe. As you may recall, when Michigan stole from the Universe that one second, it put time out of balance. That missing second was slowly pulling things out of whack. The quantum time fields were beginning to become unstabilized. If left unchecked, the quarks, ups, higgs boson and others in that strange quantum world unravel, and all matter would disintegrate. Only by luck a Western Michigan scientist, wondering about effects that missing second, discovered our peril.
With that discovery, a game had to be found where that last second could be safely inserted but not used, therefore safely restoring balance to our Universe. This last weekend, only the BYU and Notre Dame game had the specific criteria needed to insert that unused second. The Big 12 agreed, even after failing to find a advertising sponsor for that second.
So, Notre Dame fans, as you cry into your Irish beers and whiskeys, take solace that your pain saved the Universe.

Rant Can I gripe about team specific subreddits?
Does anyone else feel like they lose brain cells when they go to their team specific subreddits/forums.
I go to the OU page, and I feel dumber every single time I go there. I barely want to even talk around some of these people. I don't think they truly have the comprehension skills needed to be a part of the conversation.
I know that over the last 15 years, Oklahoma's education rankings have plummeted. But at some point you would think that even a modicum of critical thinking or common sense would trickle out of some of these people's brains.
And Twitter/X is even worse. It is like a cesspool of just pure stupid.
Does anyone else feel like this about the greater "digital" population of their fandom?
