General Discussion MBA College Ranking 2026

Post image
92 Upvotes

Being a student in one of these schools and having talked with multiple people in and outside my school, this is the list I have come up with. Again this is my list and you are free to disagree and suggest changes

Cluster 0 : IIM A,B,C

Cluster 1 : ISB, IIM L, FMS, SPJAIN, XL

Cluster 2 : IIM K,I,M, MDI, IIFT

Cluster 3 : IIT B,TISS HR,JBIMS

Cluster 4 : SIBM, IIM S, IIT D

Cluster 5 : NMIMS, IIM U,T,R,SCMHRD

Cluster 6 : IIM R, IIT KGP

Cluster 7 : Rest

Special Mention : IISC B (Falls in Cluster 3, though coz of small batch size, couldn't hear a proper verdict about it from anyone and thus omitted from the list)

Colleges falling in one Cluster can be swapped with each other

General Discussion I don't understand why people do MBA from Tier 2, Tier 3 clg in India by paying 15-20 Lakh, when they can Study Abroad

with scholarship and part time job the total cost will become so less and after getting job in just 1 or 2 year u can pay off the loan

whereas in India u will have to pay the loan for atleast 6-7 years or more and in that time loan will increase even more

studying abroad has anyday better ROI than India, just do the due diligence of college and course

Question Should I consider CAT 27?

Little background first : I'm a 25y old man, Doctor by profession, passed my MBBS last year (2025) from a govt medical college with 68% aggregate (yeah Health Universities are brutal).

I have 95% in 10th boards and 94% in 12th boards (both are state boards, not CBSE or ICSE. I belong to UR category by the way).

I have been working in private hospitals as a locum medical officer and practising at a clinic for a few days a week. Originally I intended to pursue MD/MS/ DNB pathway for which I have preparing for NEET-PG and other medical PG entrance exams since July '25.

But with every passing day, it does feel so tiresome and frustrating, particularly when I know I'll have to keep struggling with absolutely no work life balance, rigorous, hellish duty hours, bad mental health and shit pay scales even after I get into specialization.

I have always been mildly interested in the corporate and business world and since last few months, I have started thinking about it.

Should I switch careers and prepare for CAT instead? Try to get an MBA and shift into the business world? Am I even an eligible candidate for this stream?

General Discussion Confused, please help.

So i am a 2027 aspirant and i haven't touched anything related to CAT for like 20 days because my mid sems dates are finally out and they are scheduled from 21st November, there is a function at my house on 24Nov so i have planned to prep everything for the exams scheduled on 23 and 25 ..also I wasted a quiet of days learning for internals and the dates are continuously changing.

Just wanna ask am i doing ok by prioritising mid sems over CAT prep because I want to rest that 9CGPA+ threshold

General Discussion 21+ LPA job in remote location or MBA?

Hey guys, need some genuine advice.
I got a core engineering job offer with 21+ LPA CTC, around 14 LPA in-hand yearly, plus free food, stay and travel.

But the location is pretty remote. All my friends will be in different cities, and honestly, there seems to be no social life here.

I'm from a Tier 1 city and college, but most people here are from Tier 3/4 colleges. No offense, I can be good friends with anyone, but for work and career discussions, I feel having people with a similar mindset around me matters.

I'm worried I'll just end up working and staying in company accommodation with no life outside work.

Should I take the job, work for 2-3 years and then do an MBA, or just prepare for MBA directly?
What would you guys do in my place?

General Discussion Day 3 | Today is day 3rd

Turns out day 2's backlog was not of just 30 minutes but rather 2 hours, watched half of it, half is still left.

Only one class of quants was scheduled and couldn't attend it.

Need to watch day 2's remaining content, day 3's quants class , practice questions and then watch day 4's scheduled class.

Question CONSISTENTLY SCORING HORRIBLE IN QUANT AND DI

gen non-eng female 9/8/8 i have not been preparing seriously, if I'm being very honest, but with only 36~ days left im genuinely stressing. my quant and dilr marks just wont improve tho im quite decent at varc. Please advise on what should be my strategy as i take way too long to crack dilr sets and get very overwhelmed with the timer. im quite slow, for quant as well i feel like no matter how much i revise i cant solve when it actually comes in the mock paper

Rant I feel like I'm too behind

37 days left to CAT and honestly I feel like I'm very far behind. Mocks are average and I've been experiencing anxiety.

VARC is my relatively strong area. I mostly get 3/4 in RCs and VA performance keeps fluctuating. For DILR, I'm practising like 5 6 sets daily. QA is where I panic the most. Arithmetic is done but I haven't touched it for 2 weeks so I am feeling like I've forgotten it. I guess I gotta do TSD, mixtures again. For algebra, I had watched all EG videos and practised modulus, inequality. Practising logarithms rn. I've done geometry concepts and pyqs too except mensuration. I'll leave number system and do modern maths soon.

I know syllabus never feels 100% complete but this feeling of being behind is affecting my prep. I feel I haven't practised enough in comparison to others out there. How do I approach my prep properly, especially for quants till D-day?
