A small AU (alternate universe) I’ve created—I hope you enjoy the lore!

In this "Terror" alternate timeline, a student known as Shiroko Terror has destroyed nearly half of Kivotos.

In this version of events, only two students remain at Abydos: Shiroko and Hoshino. The timeline follows the general path of the "Terror" scenario—the other Abydos students are gone, and Shiroko has transformed into "Terror"—but Hoshino is still alive, attempting to calm Shiroko down. Instead of helping, however, her efforts only cause Shiroko Terror to spiral further into madness. Hoshino is forced to flee, striking down anything in her path just to stay alive. She constantly kills, repairs her weapons, and strengthens herself, clinging to survival amidst the ruins of a collapsed world. Two years have passed; Hoshino is no longer a student, but a survivor who will attack anyone and do anything to endure. She wears armor, which she gradually upgrades over time. Eventually, she loses her sanity, coming to believe that the world exists solely for the sake of killing—that one must kill simply to keep on living. As for Shiroko Terror? Well, Hoshino initially believed she was the one who should end Shiroko’s life. Later, she was approached by the Nameless Priests, who sought to use the "Chroma" to transform her into "Horus." The power proved too perfect—so potent, in fact, that Hoshino turned it against the Chroma and the Nameless Priests themselves. Though she couldn't finish them off completely and the power was eventually stripped away, Hoshino managed to retain a fragment of the Horus power within herself. Now, armed with that remnant of Horus, she hunts for Shiroko Terror, intent on finally putting an end to her.

When I first read the original title, The Worldline Where Sakurako-sama Turned into a Yandere, I kind of expected some misunderstanding to happen, just like usual. So I put off translating it for a long time.

There's no way Sakurako-sama would turn into some deranged, mentally unstable girl. No way. That can't be. Our Sakurako-sama is a saint. A holy saintess who is our light. To see her remain innocent and happy is my wish.

But... deep down, apparently, a twisted desire had begun to creep in.

I got curious. I wondered how her bright, cheerful, and sometimes funny face, especially when other people misunderstood her, would suddenly turn into that of a yandere girl. A girl who only has eyes for me. A girl who will murder just to show how much she love me over the world..

Yes, I was aware that I was playing with fire... no, I was dancing with death here. I was still in doubt about whether I should go through with reading this and taint my image of her.

I was conflicted for several days, but in the end, a thought came to me, almost as if God Himself were speaking to me:

"Do you love Sakurako because you only want to see her good side?"

Then it struck me like a bolt of lightning.

That's right. I want to know more about her. Even if it's a secondhand creation by a fellow Sensei who adores her just as much as I do.

So I went back to the source link, only to find that the original video had apparently been taken down for some reason. Thankfully, after checking a Japanese forum, I managed to find the original source and started reading from there.

The story wasn't what I expected. It wasn't comedic, like the Sakurako-sama stories we usually read. It was more... serious.

I couldn't help but keep reading.

When I finally finished, I found myself conflicted once again. The story itself wasn't bad. In fact, I consider it quite good. But seeing Sakurako-sama being "tortured" (no, she wasn't actually being tortured) was heartbreaking.

I couldn't even bring myself to edit her expressions on my own, so I relied heavily on LLMs to recreate expressions that I thought would fit the scenes.

What do I feel guilty about?

Right. It's the fact that I... quite enjoyed the process.

Ruining her face, making her cry, making her completely lose herself to the point of madness... (No, she didn't.)

But I'd already started, so I was determined to see it through to the end.

And I did. Just now.

I'm glad I did.

But as the title says, she's heartbroken.

And I enjoyed it.

So no matter how much I ask for forgiveness, I don't expect to be forgiven.

After this, I'll find a happy ending for Sakurako-sama.
