Finished Piece "Squid" beaded tie
I wove this necktie using Japanese seed beads. It is crafted using the square stitch technique. The pattern is by Velena Beskrovnaya.

I have stumbled upon this blog post by Beki Haley where she gives really good advice on how to tell if the beadwork you see online is real or AI-generated.
There have been a lot of posts on this sub about people being scammed with AI patterns, so I figured sharing her post could help people save some money.

It has happened a handful of times recently, so I’ve set up a filter that should catch new accounts to cut down on that.
Having said that, if you are a legit new beader and the filter has caught your post, feel free to reach out to the mod team so we can approve your post!
And thank you to the community for catching these posts and reporting them! I may recognize a few really popular pieces, but not many, and I imagine the other mods are probably the same, so it’s very helpful to have other people reporting them to us!

Hey! I’ve made this puffin piece from a pattern from Carol Paris/bumblebead on Etsy! But she uses a oetal shaped bead i do not know how to source and so i wanted to make one out of my 11/0 TOHO treasure beads (as thats what i used for the piece)! Are anyone here knowledgeable enough to make up a pattern for a simple foot, ca 1,3 cm x1 cm? Or just how to build up a triangle shape with brick or peyote stitch :) thank you!!!
Pictures is also the foot i tried making but i don’t like it and i 100% can recreate it!

This is my first time attempting a larger Brick stitch piece. I just started beading about a month ago. So it’s not perfect! But I enjoyed making it!
But now what? lol. What do I do with the finished piece? Too big for something like a necklace or earring.

I just received the email today! The listing must require an actual "unedited" picture of the listed product with real background
Hopefully this will put an end to all the scammers!!
I'll keep you updated

A little bit of sprinkles on a bracelet 😊

Just need to glue the end caps, and she's done! It's almost the size of an American driver's license or credit card.
The design is an abstract of a leaf my husband helped me create. I built it in pieces, a front and back panel, the rope necklace, and sides. This was my second attempt. The first one was a failure but taught me what to do to improve.

I am making this purse, attached is my inspo for the design. I have since removed the light blue and dark blue lines below the bulge beads. I disliked the contrast and did not want to continue wasting time. Please any suggestions for color, links to specific products ... Everything would be helpful! I do like the idea of swapping to round beads for the remainder of the "ocean". I am very loosely following the inspo pic, clearly 😂

The big E sent an update to their policies this morning to update and clarify their AI rules in particular.
Rejoice! Fully AI-generated patterns & listings are now explicitly not allowed. Additionally, every listing must have at least one non-AI image (this includes edits that don’t accurately reflect the product and fully generated images.) There are specific examples and language pertaining to craft patterns, which I hope can help make the listings of false 3D beading kits/patterns a less common issue.
I strongly suggest that anybody who has unfortunately purchased a fake pattern from this website in the past to go report— it may save another person the time and money.
While I don’t think AI has ANY place in any art spaces, it’s encouraging to see this corporate giant put some bare-minimum restrictions out. Gotta start somewhere, I guess!

Picked up the Clarence Chama pendant recently. Wanted to give it a deserving showcase rather than a simple sterling chain. Vintage 70s/80s apple coral graduated heshi, sea green yungai turquoise heshi, horn rondelles at all the breaks, 2 vintage squash blossoms, oxidized sterling crimp tubes, jump loop and swivel lobster 13mm. 3mm bright sterling bead at terminals. 49 strand wire. ❤️ the hue match between the pendant and coral heshi.

I’ll probably cover the wire holding it together with ribbon or something. It sits nicely in a vase now that they’re wrapped together. I think it gives fairy vibes

I’m working on these sunflower earrings for a friend and have finished my first prototype. I keep having this annoying issue where the earrings keep flipping to the backside when wearing them.
Looking for advice on how to attach the earring finding to the piece in a way that ensures the wrong side isn’t facing out/forwards? Sorry if this isn’t making sense!

It’s so much more satisfying, and faster. Aaaaah I wish I had known before.
