Hi everyone, does anyone have any recommendations for nail salons in Bath that do gel/BIAB that don’t overfile and won’t damage your nails?

I’ve tried Wisteria Lane and Allure in Fairfield Park and both salons have seriously over filed my nails with the e-file leaving me with weak damaged nails when previously they had been very strong.

I really want to get BIAB done but am scared of this happening again so any recommendations for gentle techs/salons would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance! :)

I’m currently a final year Uni of Bath student, and at 23( I took a gap year), I’ve found that my extrovert persona has dulled completely. After coming to Bath, I had trouble becoming actual good friends with anyone, mostly because I don’t drink and pubs aren’t really my scene. I think a lot of the people I met in year 1 were more outgoing and interested in nights out and all, which kind of left me isolated and then suddenly everyone had their own friend groups.
Now that I’m in my final year, its gotten really exhausting just being alone and trying to survive here. I’ve obviously talked to people since, and made some ‘friends’, but those initial friendships and experiences I guess hold more value, so I’m kinda like a back up ifykwim.
anyway, I don’t really know if I’m allowed to rant like this here, but I felt like I should take a step and just see what happens.
If anyone wants to talk or hang out, or if you have general advice on being more outgoing, please let me know!

My fiancé and I are recently engaged and we have a permit for bridge access and commercial photography at Stourhead Gardens in Wiltshire on Oct 31st from 12:30-1:30 PM.

Our photographer fell through unexpectedly, and as you can imagine, it’s incredibly short notice to try and find someone with availability in the area.

To have our photos taken at Stourhead to announce our engagement is truly a DREAM for us and this is a bit of a hail mary to try and make it happen!!

Hi guys, I have an old HP printer that doesn’t work anymore and a cheap vinyl player that kind of "burned" from the inside and no longer works and is unsafe to use. I’m planning to take both to the bath recycling center in Midland Road but I have no car nor bike so my only option is on foot. Does anyone know if it's pedestrian friendly and it's allowed? Quick google search told me I can’t enter on foot but I don't know how accurate that is so I don’t know what’s my alternative... many thanks

Doubt this will do any good given there's already been a consultation with overwhelmingly negative opinion, which the council ignored, but maybe worth the few seconds it'll take to sign

As part of Bath Film Festival, Bath Roller Derby are collaborating on a screening of the film Whip It at Bath Pavilion. We will be discussing the film, what the sport of roller derby is like today and how you can get involved!

Roller derby is a full contact sport played on quad roller skates, by primarily people of marginalised genders (women and trans people) - it is like rugby on roller skates (there is no ball)!

If you feel inspired by the film, you can also put on some skates and be your own hero at the roller disco afterwards!

As far as I'm aware, I've got a somewhat unusual rat problem in my home.

I don't think the rats are actually IN my house, as in nesting, but as far as I can tell there's a place somewhere in my house that they can get in and out, and they use this to come into the home and leave.

I've put down traps to no effect because as far as I can tell they're not IN the house right now, but occasionally they come in here and then leave again?

Can anyone recommend a pest control service that would specifically be able to find where they're entering and leaving and seal it up, but nothing else? I tried asking one service in the week but they wanted to charge me £400 for four sessions, and as far as I can tell there's only one actual task that needs doing that SHOULD fix the problem for me.

Folks from Swindon and Chippenham, and to a lesser extent Trowbridge, Calne and Salisbury do day sessions to bath and then catch the last train back home. Do the Bath residents know about this?

Can you tell when the Wiltshire lot are out day drinking or do you throw them in with the rest of the tourists drinking? Or do you not notice or care at all?
