Healthy Calories, please add monthly subscription packages

We order from Healthy Calories often. We want monthly subscription packages.

What we're asking for:

- 1 monthly plan with fixed meals per week

- 1 payment per month

- Option to pause or skip a week

- Option to swap meals before each delivery

This saves us reordering every week. It also gives Healthy Calories steady, predictable orders.

If you want this too, upvote and comment. Let's show them the demand.

Please don’t always go for the cheapest quotation when building your house in Bahrain

A few days ago I gave a quotation of 2000 BHD for foundation work, but someone else took the same job for 1500 BHD.
The thing is, 2000 BHD was already my actual cost. I wasn’t even making any profit. Business is very slow these days so I thought at least I could cover my equipment expenses and keep my machines working. I also had to pay the material supplier for every load.
I was wondering how these people manage to take jobs at such low prices.
Then I saw that contractor putting cheap backfilling material instead of proper Dafan at around 4 in the morning.
Now I understand how they offer such cheap prices.
And the worst part is, people like these have ruined our business and our reputation as well. Contractors who are doing honest work with proper materials can’t compete with these prices. And when something goes wrong, people start thinking all contractors are the same.
My only request to people building houses in Bahrain is please don’t always go for the cheapest quotation. You are already spending so much money on your house, so why save 400 or 500 BHD on the foundation?
Not every cheap contractor is bad, but please check what material they are putting in your foundation. Once they cover it, you won’t even know what’s underneath.
I’m just sharing this because I’ve seen these things happening and people should be aware of it.

Im an expat in bahrain, and lately I feel so exhausted by everything I've been through

Lately, I’ve been feeling really frustrated and emotionally exhausted. I don’t even know if I’m just tired or if everything I’ve been through is finally catching up with me.

When I first came to Bahrain, I came as an employee. Unfortunately, I ended up working for a company that had literally just started. The shop was still under construction when I arrived.

I went months without being paid properly, had my salary cut, and ended up doing so much more than what I was originally hired for. My employer would ask me to do fashion speed illustrations for events here in Bahrain, and I even did some modeling for her friends. I tried to help the business in every way I could because I genuinely wanted things to work out.

I stayed for a year, trying my best to make everything work. During that time, my passport was also kept by my employer, and I eventually had to get it back through the police. I thought that was finally the end of that chapter.

But things didn't get better immediately.

In my second year, I was offered a partnership by someone who eventually put me under his visa. I trusted what he told me, believing that I was moving toward becoming an investor. Later, I realized that things weren't what I had been led to believe. I felt fooled and had to figure things out on my own again.

After learning more about the rules and understanding my situation better, I eventually left and decided to establish my own business without a partner. This year, I finally managed to get my own CR and start building something for myself.

I should be happy and proud of how far I've come, especially because I'm now trying to do everything on my own. But with all the uncertainty and bombings happening around us lately, along with the pressure of running a business by myself, everything has started to feel so heavy.

Sometimes I find myself thinking about everything that happened to me. I keep asking myself why I trusted certain people, why I allowed myself to go through so much, and how I ended up in situations where I had to fight so hard just to protect myself and move forward.

I think I've developed trust issues. I find it difficult to feel secure with people, and sometimes I even feel sorry for myself. Then I feel guilty for feeling that way because I know I've survived so much and should be proud of myself.

The truth is, I don't really have friends or family here in Bahrain whom I can sit down with and talk to about these things. I keep everything to myself, and I'm honestly so tired.

I don't regret trying to build a life for myself, and I know starting my own business is something I should be proud of. But sometimes I wish I could just take a break from being strong and feel like I have someone in my corner.

I guess I'm posting this because I need to let it out somewhere. Maybe I just need to hear from people who have gone through something similar.

Have you ever gone through a period in your life when you've had to fight so hard for so long that you don't even know how to trust people or relax anymore? How did you learn to move forward without carrying all that hurt with you?

☝️ AskBH Long layover at BAH - airside vs. VoA exit

I have a 13.5-hour overnight layover coming up at Bahrain International Airport flying Gulf Air from Manila to Istanbul.

I called Gulf Air and they confirmed I don't qualify for a complimentary STPC package because a flight with a shorter connection existed on my travel date. They mentioned STPC is optional for my booking, but I've seen conflicting info online saying STPC is "mandatory" for layovers over 12 hours.

Can anyone confirm if I can simply stay inside the airside/ transit area for 13 hours without a visa or STPC package? I don't really mind resting in the terminal for the night.

Alternatively, I'm considering getting a Visa on Arrival since I hold a valid US B1/B2 visa, which I believe qualifies me for VOA in Bahrain as a Philippine passport holder.

If I go with VOA, my plan would be to rest inside the airport overnight, then clear immigration early in the morning to explore Manama for a few hours before my 10:50 am flight to Istanbul.

Would love advice on:

- Is STPC definitely optional, and can I stay airside for 13 hours problem-free?

- My Gulf booking is under one reference number/PNR. So even if I stay inside the airport OR do the VOA route and explore, my check-in luggage stays without me having to collect and re-check, correct?

- How smooth is the VoA process using a US visa at BAH?

- Any tips when exiting and re-entering the airport?

made a thing for people who work with aws, free to try

yo r/bahrain
been working on this side project for a while and finally put it out. it's called thearchitect
basically you drag and drop stuff to draw your aws setup and it tells you roughly how much it'll cost you every month. it also writes the setup file for you so you don't have to do it by hand
there's also a bunch of ready made templates if you don't wanna start from scratch
it's completely free right now, no card or anything. just sign up and mess around
thecloudarchitect.dev
if you work in cloud stuff or you're studying for aws certs give it a go and tell me what sucks lol. honest feedback is appreciated, even if it's harsh
also if anyone here is building stuff locally i'd love to hear about it, feels like we don't talk about that enough here
cheers and have fun

🤔 Discussion HOW DO I RECOVER

When things are going okay, and then the least expected thing happened to me, the person i loved suddenly choose to leave, the person who taught me to dream about our future practically everything. She started a new job and I'm thinking to myself, finally good things are happening for her and then within two weeks, she is acting strange and when tried to communicate she is bringing up all the past as if she has not done one thing wrong and I'm blaming myself everyday for everything and i keep begging her dont leave. One day she would text me normal and the other day would be the moving on text and it continued this cycle for couple of weeks. 2 days ago she sent me the message" i dont feel good about the way I'm treating you. Its hurting me and you, lets put a full stop to this relationship" . I woke up at 7 for work and this is what i had to see and i told myself what am i running after. Yes she did everything for me in the past, she was genuinely so good so i had to fight for it, that was my mindset. When i received that message in the morning, i was so tired mentally i didn't know what to reply so i opened the message and let it be. I gave her no reply. I archived her chat and muted her. She is living her life happily while I'm just completely broken mentally and physically. 4 weeks of not eating well and sleeping. I really am stuck in life and this is the hardest phase i have ever been in. And I'm not sure what to do next. I forced myself to join gym and started it few days ago. Idk how will i ever get over her and how will i get over seeing her with someone else one day. considering we both work in citycenter, running into each other can be very easy. I really have no clue what next. She left me into a complete broken human being.

Selling a car

So I have sold many cars in Bahrain over the past 10 years and one thing always happens. I advertise the car on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp groups and website. All details, description and price is clearly shown and mentioned.

But then I will revive a message asking not for the final price but just 'the price', which is clearly mentioned, and when I give it to them they will then ask for the final price.

On top of this I will then have people message saying things like "hello, can I come to see the vehicle", "is this still available?" Etc etc, I will then reply with "hello, I'm free on this day", "hello, yes it is still available" and then no response.

My main question is, What's up with these guys lol are they just bored and having nothing to do, or is this the adult version of children ringing door bells and then running away lol

Infux of columbian bar girls

Ive matched with quite a few columbian girls and the script is all the same. They are just visiting for a few weeks, they want you to meet them out in adilya. Where you'll stumble upon a bar. Its happened to me before with a girl from Argentina. Im not saying that this is for every girl but it is becoming common enough that I would recommend against going to a bar of their choice. If you end up out and they push for a place leave. Dont make that same mistake that I did with the first girl. Stay observant and if it has happened to you. Post here you can give generic information without it becoming slander.

Speeding ticket violation help

For the first time I received speeding ticket violations worth 400BD that’s collectively for 4 speeding tickets of 100BD each AFTER the 50% discount.

One of the speeding tickets was on the highway from juffair towards seef where there isn’t a camera normally. So I’m not sure how I got it.

Is there a way to help reduce the violation amount? Maybe speaking to traffic department or anything I can do? I wanted to get advise on this or else I just have to pay
