These deposits are out in the open on our grassy in-town yard, ten yards from heavy arborvitae cover (use that!!!) and twenty yards from a street. Woods nearby. My shoe for scale, poops 3-5". We've found about 10 of these, various vintages, and removed them all yesterday. Today there were two more in the same spot. The noive! Who do you think is the culprit and how can we get them to pick a place we won't keep stepping on?

Coastal Rhode Island, 1/3 acre residential yard. Raccoons, skunks, whistlepigs, rabbits, squirrels, deer, and coyote have been through or live onsite. Opossum and fox have been seen in the area, but not yet in our yard. We feed birds and there's sunflower seed on the ground near this latrine.

Our trail cam arrives tomorrow. :)

My boot is size 13. The smaller impression was separate, the large print had a heel going back to about where mine was. Iโ€™m wondering if this was a monster black bear or just someoneโ€™s size 15 boot.

๐Ÿ”Ž ID Request Odd tracks on my pollen covered rural Oregon driveway. No typical prints, more of a foot drag. Visibility best under flashlight. Any ideas?

Each "print" is maybe 3in/8cm long, with some longer.
