How are you talking to customers outside founder references when a deal is moving fast?

Founder references are helpful but they're usually people who already like the company.

We’ve been trying to talk to a few buyers ourselves too, especially people who looked at the product and ended up choosing something els

Timing gets tough though. On a fast deal we can lose most of a week just finding the right people and getting them on a call.

How do you get enough of these conversations in before you have to make a decision?

Building mobile digital ads on private vehicles in Metro Manila. Seeks funding

Hi , I’m a founder currently building a business that turns private vehicles into mobile digital advertising platforms here in Metro Manila.

Why I’m building this:

•Many drivers spend long hours on the road with limited options for additional income beyond fares.

•A lot of local SMEs and brands find traditional billboards expensive and inflexible, while vehicle wraps are static and hard to change.

•There feels like a gap for something more dynamic and accessible in the Philippine market.

Simpler version:

•Brands gets flexible, remotely updatable digital outdoor ads. Drivers earn extra and can possibly remove the monthly pressure.

•I'm currently pre-revenue - finalizing hardware dealerships, building the software and preparing a small pilot.

About me: •Registered nurse with experience running and selling small businesses (laundry shop, van rental, online ventures). Treating this seriously.

Looking for: •Honest feedback (especially from anyone in local ads, rideshare, or marketplace businesses) •Early brand pilot conversations •Warm intros to angels or founders who’ve built similar things in PH •I’m keeping details limited in public.

Happy to share more via DM with serious interested people.

Critical feedback welcome. Thanks.

Looking for pre seed investors | co founder | partner | Canada

After successfully founding, building, and exiting two manufacturing companies—Off Grid Trailers in Edmonton and Mission Overland in Winnipeg, both acquired by private equity— “acquisitions available online “. I’m taking my next step in entrepreneurship.
I’m excited to introduce Alpine Defense.
We’re developing specialized, purpose-built UTV platforms designed to support defense, emergency response, wildfire operations, and critical infrastructure.
Our initial focus is on mobile drone deployment and command centers, built on proven off-road vehicle platforms to provide mobility, equipment protection, and operational support in challenging environments.
The opportunity:
As drone technology continues to advance, the need for reliable ground-based deployment, transportation, and support systems is growing.
Alpine Defense aims to help bridge that gap.
With an asset-light manufacturing strategy, established fabrication relationships, and a scalable production model, we’re positioning ourselves to serve customers across Canada, the United States, and beyond.
We’re currently seeking early-stage investors and strategic partners who recognize the potential in defense technology, unmanned systems, and specialized vehicle manufacturing.
I bring firsthand experience in building manufacturing businesses from the ground up, scaling operations, and successfully navigating acquisitions.
Now I’m looking to do it again.
If you’re an angel investor, venture capital firm, family office, or industry partner interested in learning more, I’d welcome a conversation.

Question How to find angels when connections matter more than funding?

• Upvotes

Hey all,

My friend and I are CS majors at an Ivy. His background is SWE, mine is ML research. We made a course planning tool that lets you graph prerequisite relationships and talk to an AI copilot that never hallucinates and pulls info from lots of disparate sources.

We got 400 classmates to sign up in the first two weeks of the semester (pretty convincing evidence that this is something people like) and have a few paying customers (a monthly premium subscription that gives expanded access to the AI features), but it's difficult to spread to other universities where we don't have as much of a foothold.

We got a $3000 grant from the university to expand our platform, but it's difficult to find angel investors who have connections to universities as well as funding. To be honest, the site is pretty cheap to run at the moment, and funding isn't something we're desperate for (although it would be nice). Our main priority is getting connections to universities.

Does anyone have advice on where we should go from here? Neither of us has startup experience, but we're both pretty dedicated and really believe in what we're doing. Thanks in advance!

Pitch Raising ₹10L growth capital for LNP Capital — looking for the right investor

Hey everyone, I’m Gaurav, 20 years old and the founder of LNP Capital.

I’m looking to raise around ₹10 lakh as growth capital for LNP. This isn’t a business I’m starting from scratch — it’s already operating, generating revenue and working with clients.

I currently work with 12 clients with ₹1Cr+ in combined portfolio exposure, across Indian & US equities, crypto, alternative investments and selected private/business opportunities.

LNP generated around ₹20–25L in revenue last financial year, and I’m targeting ₹1Cr+ this FY.

I’m also working with a Gujarat-based corporate client for investment research, portfolio management and advisory-related work. I can share supporting agreements and transaction records privately during due diligence.

The ₹10L would be used to scale the existing business — research infrastructure, technology/reporting, portfolio systems, business development and working capital.

I’m open to discussing equity, debt or a properly documented revenue-sharing structure, depending on what works for both sides.

My long-term goal is to build LNP into a research-driven investment platform combining finance, technology, analytics and automation.

Being only 20, I know I’m early in the journey — but that’s also why I’m focused on building this properly over the next 5–10 years rather than looking for a quick opportunity.

I’m looking for direct angel investors, founders or HNIs who are interested in backing an operating early-stage business.

No brokers or lead generators, please. Direct investors only.
Small note: I used AI to help structure and polish this post 😅, but all the business information, numbers and documents mentioned are genuine and can be verified.
If this sounds interesting,

DM me and I’ll share the details privately.

What refinancing lenders tend to say when an MCA application gets declined

A lot of owners try to refinance an MCA, get declined, and walk away with a reason that feels vague. I work with Value Capital Funding (VCF), where we help business owners assess MCA debt-relief options, including refinancing and restructuring when appropriate, and the same few reasons come up often enough that I wanted to explain them. Happy to answer general questions in the comments.

These are common reasons, not a complete list, and every lender weighs things differently:

  • Too many open positions. If there are several advances already, a new lender may not be able to get repaid ahead of, or even alongside, the existing ones. Existing claims on your receivables can make a new loan hard to structure.
  • Thin cash flow after current payments. Lenders usually underwrite on your bank deposits, and daily or weekly debits shrink what's left. A business can look strong on revenue and still fail this test.
  • Recent warning signs in the bank statements. Overdrafts, returned payments, or declining deposits over the last few months tend to weigh heavily, since most lenders review three to six months.

A decline is information, and it doesn't mean you're out of options. A few things that help:

  • Ask the lender which specific factor drove the decision. A direct answer tells you what to fix, or whether refinancing is the wrong tool.
  • Be careful about applying to many lenders at once. Each application shares your financial details, and some involve credit checks.
  • Know the other route. If refinancing isn't realistic, restructuring means negotiating new terms on the existing agreements instead of replacing them. Which one fits depends on your numbers.

If you've been declined and want to talk through what it might mean, comment or DM, and I'll do what I can

🚀 I’m looking for early-stage investors to help grow Spirkz — a Malta-based EdTech startup turning short-form scrolling into learning.

As a solo developer, I’ve built an educational alternative to TikTok and Instagram Reels, where people can discover educational videos and creators can publish their own courses.

Here’s where we stand today:

📈 2,091 registered users
👥 1,658 new users in the last 30 days — a 313% increase compared with the previous 30 days
✅ 2,002 email-verified users
🎓 21 signed creators

Spirkz is live on iOS and Android, built with React Native and powered by AWS infrastructure using S3, EC2, and CloudFront. The platform includes course publishing, messaging, groups, sharing, and an administration and moderation system.

We’re now delivering around 60 GB of content daily through CloudFront. As usage grows, our AWS bills are increasing too — making efficient infrastructure and sustainable growth a priority.

I’m looking for investment and strategic support to expand our creator community, improve retention, grow distribution, and scale video delivery efficiently.

If you’re an angel investor or early-stage fund interested in EdTech and creator platforms, I’d love to show you the product and discuss the next stage of Spirkz.

Question Solo founder, product 90% built: what do you check before investing?

I'm building a maritime data platform plus mobile apps already live on the App Store. It's about 90% done and I'm starting to look for investment to scale it.

Before I pitch anyone, I'd like to learn from you:

  1. What are the first questions you ask a solo founder?

  2. What traction do you need to see at this stage?

  3. Which kinds of businesses are you most interested in right now?

  4. The next step is processing the data with AI and selling insights to large companies. Would you rather see me focus on that B2B side first, or grow the consumer apps?

  5. What would make you take a first call: a deck, a demo, or early paying customers?

Pitch SKAI Advisory is looking for Business Collaboration/Investor/Mentorship

Hello everyone,

My husband and I have changed the country 6 months ago. Considering the job market conditions, alongside AI evolution, we decided to work for us. We launched SKAI Advisory.

In this journey, my husband is with me.

He is a business strategist and also co-founder of our startup. He has experience of consulting the CEO’s. He is currently working as a consultant for a US company.

He has fluency in 5 languages German, Slovak, English, Italian and French. The reason I share this if that it can be important for some local fields to build engaging relationships.

I am an aeronautical engineer. I have 5 years experience in defense industry.

SKAI Advisory is structured around the intersection of AI deployment and consulting.

We are also working on our own model-independent testing and observability platform.

At a simple level, the platform evaluates AI agents across real-world business scenarios, measuring reliability, accuracy, compliance, and performance.

We have a working MVP. If anyone is interested in we would like to pitch our project.

We are aiming to bring our experience, knowledge and perspective to the table.

We would like to meet and exchange ideas with anyone who is curious to learn more about.

We can meet in person or on Zoom. Currently, we are living in Budapest.

I would be responding to DMs to share more information about us.
