Just picked up this thing last week. Mainly going to be used for plowing my long gravel driveway in the winter. I hope it works well. Anyone ever use atv for plowing? I was told if i used like a 1" pvc pipe, cut it down the middle and put it on the bottom lip of the plow, it'll skip over the rocks on my driveway. I plan on giving it a try anyways see if it helps.

I do want to do some off road trails even though I don't have a ton off experience. I haven't rode one of these in many moons. It does seem like it's really well made and would be a blast to take off road. I was searching used atv's online and most were $3500 to $7000 with high mileage. I said hell with it, I'll just buy new at that rate.

Edit: 2026 model. Just saw salt dispensers for 4 wheelers? Be nice to get one of those and use after I plow.

Ive had this 02 polaris sportsman 500 ho sitting my garage for 8 years just changed the fuel filter and pump put good fuel in it 2 pulls and started right up. Id say its a good weekend.

Got this 4wheeler with a broken belt a couple months ago i took the clutch assembly pieces to some shop and had them rebuild/clean it all. It lasted probably 2 months driving fine but i think the case was getting too hot haha. My question is, is it terrible to just throw another belt on there and sell it to someone? Maybe someone knows why it got so hot and could give some advice… seems to me like the drive clutch isnt opening enough (last 2 photos) causing it to overheat.

Just got a 2002 Polaris Scrambler 500 not too long ago and am about to go riding up in the mountains. I was looking at merino wool base layers which seem to be a staple in terms of a shirt and pants. Was also wondering about any balaclavas or gloves anyone has had good success with. There just so many different options online Im not sure whats actually good and worth investing into. Im assuming the wind is going to be the worst part and I’m not sure if i should just put some latex gloves on under my normal gloves or get those handlebar covers. Not sure, but any advice or links to some quality layers would be greatly appreciated.

I think it's the starter. Brought it up to the mountains, was out in the freeze overnight and then wouldn't start. Made this noise. Sometimes after letting it sit, engine would try to turn but then it would go back to just that noise. I was able to get it started initially, gave it gas and it sputtered out. Can y'all help me with what this could be and the fix? Winch still works so idk if it's the battery.

Not mine, come across it for sale. Just under 10,000 hours! Says it still runs fine. No mention of replacing any major parts.

My husband tried to teach me but we are thinking it wasn’t working for me because we were fucking around on the grass pasture. I originally thought learning there would be better cuz grass is softer if I fall but I have come to realize an 800+ pound bike gonna hurt either way lol.

Gonna try again when I get back home on the dirt road.

I know my husband told me to kinda throw myself forward a bit before I haul back on handlebars and after watching YouTube videos I see what he means there.. but what are some tips y’all would suggest a newbie?!

Hello, so just bought my son a brand new 2027 yfz50. Will be his first time riding. So took it off the floor, brought it home and immediately knew I need lights. So gona add a lighted whip on it for sure but im really concerned about a "headlight". My thought initially was i have an extra Baja Design Squadron Sport laying around (the older version not the new 2.0's) ill just make a bracket to bolt straight into the open M6 threaded holes and mount the light on the middle of the handle bars BUT..... now im concerned it may be too much for that little battery.

I was gona have the whip and pod light go to a toggle switch, then the toggle switch connected to the battery. Will this be too much? Or what would yall recommend to add to make this happen? Im pretty sure the BD light isnt gona work so anything I could do to add a light would be appreciated

Hi folks, I've been given a Honda trx300. It runs but isn't in the best of ways. When I tried to adjust the free play on the clutch it stopped engaging at all. I've stripped off the side cover and pulled the centrifugal clutch. It looks pretty bad to me but I have no experience of these things (I usually work on classic Moto Guzzi's 😂). Anyways just thought I would ask here does this thing look like it's toast? Apologies if this isn't the place to ask feel free to direct me elsewhere. Thanks

Traded for a bit of a fixer upper idles high and cant shift up without the gears grinding there's also a leak pretty sure its gas. Noobie here and looking for guidance, planning to try to fix it up myself

Recently had a gnarly crash on my 400EX and I bent the crap out of this rim. Any ideas how to fix it?

I'll try to keep this short..

We started having issues shifting last year, not often just figured it struggled in cold weather or was just being finicky. Eventually had to use the gearshift tool to manually shift it and it seemed to work after that.

Then a few months ago it got really bad - it'd get stuck in 4th or 5th gear constantly til we stopped and manually shifted it. One night we put it in the ditch front-first and managed to get it back to the house but ever since it just displays the dash - - or will flash the error codes and refuses to shift at all.

So, we've spent countless hours researching the errors and trying to fix it (codes 22 and 23).

-Cleaned the shift angle sensor, works fine has power

-Cleaned the shift motor, works fine has power

-Cleaned handlebar shift switches, works fine has power

-Checked wires and connections and haven't found any issues yet

-Tested the battery and it's fine

-Checked the fuses all good

Sometimes we'll clean a part then check to see if it shifts and it will click, but most of the time we'll get a no-click.

Next plan it to buy an ECU bypass kit but money's tight and would rather not if we don't have to. That or turn it into a manual shift permanently.

If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them! Been pulling my hair out trying to figure it out lol

The quad ate belt a while ago, got a new one on but hearing a rattle noise. Any ideas what could be causing it? First photo is the belt that came with the quad and is currently on it, second photo is the belt Polaris dealer gave us.

Battery is new I’m guessing it’s the spark plugs figured I’d reach out here for advice.

it’s not turning only cranking has new oem carburetor gives spark , gas tank not dirty , fuel flows through carb someone told me my piston is fried someone else told me it’s the air fuel ratio someone else told me it’s valve clearance. willing to pay someone with knowledge to do diagnostic and repair

2025 Polaris Sportsman Touring...ran great for a year...switched it off last week and now I get this...

Went with the obvious and got a new battery...nope. Checked all the fuses...all good... read online about the brake pressure switch so (after multiple wrong parts from the dealership) I swapped that out. Still nope.

Ignition switch at least shows power on the dash but there is NO solenoid click.

Any suggestions for next steps?
