MY GRAMMAR IS REALLY BAD SO I HAD AI REWRITE PARTS OF THIS BUT I TOUCHED IT UP. I JUST SAW THE NO AI RULE AND AM CONCERNED ABOUT THAT
So, I'm using a 128 GB SD card formatted as FAT32, but it's been causing issues. Because of that, I'm considering splitting my files across multiple SD cards. How would I go about doing this, especially since I have a lot of DS forwarders and custom Virtual Console injects?
What files and folders do I need to have on every SD card if I want to keep my homebrew apps (.3dsx files and essentials like FBI, Homebrew Launcher, Checkpoint, etc.), my themes, and other important data?
My current idea is to organize the cards like this:
- SD Card 1: Pokémon, Mario, and Sonic games
- SD Card 2: Zelda and Kirby games
- SD Card 3: Miscellaneous games (if they don't fit on the second card)
Can someone PLEASE help me figure this out?
If needed, I can upload a list of the files on my SD card. Maybe someone could help me determine which files are required on every card and which ones can be moved.
The reason I'm considering this is because I'm getting worried about the health of my 3DS. Lately, it's been crashing a lot while using FourthTube, and much more frequently than normal. Seriously, it crashes every minute or so.
I also constantly get the error "The SD Card was removed. Press any button to reboot." whenever I press the home button.
This happens most often when downloading something, It will stop working and keep failing or just freeze up, but it also occurs in games. For example, in Sonic Generations, it often happens when I finish a stage, which prevents me from progressing, and I really want to beat that game.
In addition, the system will occasionally boot without detecting the SD card at all, usually after a big crash. When that happens, none of my installed software, themes, or other SD card content appears, making the system look almost completely stock until I reboot it. Sometimes I have to reboot it 2-3 times before it works again.
