Miscellaneous I created a subreddit for archiving old ytps !

If this type of post isn’t allowed, please let me know !
Hi everyone ! I’d like to invite you all to a new subreddit I created called r/ytp_archive ! I created it with the intention of archiving as many ytps as possible in an effort to create a time capsule from this era of Youtube history. I’ve been meaning to make something like this for a while now but I wasn’t sure how to go through with it. At first I just wanted to download all my favorite poops but then I got the idea of starting my own subreddit and slowly building an entire archive of YTPs.
I remember when I first stumbled upon ytps back in 2007 (and still watching them to this day) and I’ve truly enjoyed seeing all the creativity and insanity that has come from these types of videos and this community as a whole throughout the years. But as much as I've enjoyed it, I can't deny the pain that comes from seeing videos or even entire channels get taken down because of copyright infringement or community guideline violations and it makes me sad knowing that these videos will often get lost to time due to lack of archiving. You might get videos reuploaded by another user or posted on another website but that's about it. Nothing is really being done about indexing them. And to be fair, I understand the sheer number of videos there are and there's no way that we could archive the hundreds if not thousands of videos on YT (especially since many of the older ones have been deleted). But I still think it would be a great idea to create some sort of massive archive of where we could add as many “Best of the Best” ytps as we can.
I created this sub about a week ago and focused on things like the design, a few posts, and rules (since this is the first time I’ve made and modded a sub lol). I was struggling with the formatting on the old reddit layout so all the background designs and other things I did them on the new layout (but don't worry, I prefer the old one too like many of you lol).
Btw, I don’t want anyone thinking that I’m trying to steal users/traffic away from r/ytp. I know there used to be another sub called r/youtubepoop that decided to fully migrate to r/ytp due to having more users and activity. I have no intention of changing the current way of things on the main sub. In fact, posting original content is prohibited on this new sub since I want to focus strictly on archiving. I simply want to create a place where all of our favorite ytps are organized and kept in a safe place without fear of takedowns.
There’s not much on the sub for now since it’s still new. Feel free to start sending in your favorite poops (and make sure to read the rules) ! Enjoy !

FYI from now on if you post a YTP here by just pasting a URL into the body of a Text Post it will be removed without notice. Use the Link Post format.

I'm sick of having to remove an average of 2 posts per day because people are too stupid to learn the difference between a text post and a link post.
I'm done providing removal reasons. I'm done answering modmail about it. I'm done arguing about why it matters.
Thank you.

Hello everyone, I want to say that I made a GunVsGun YouTube poop video. GunVsGun is a Nerf YouTube channel about Tommy Gun and Danny Gun, both fighting with Nerf guns in the house. The YouTube poop video is called GunVsGun YouTube Poop Danny Gun Does Not Know What Food He Likes, based on a video called Nerf Guns VS Vegetarians. I hope anybody wants to watch my video. Here is a video link below.
Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrBjLyxo9AI
Also, here is a warning before watching my video.
WARNING
Even though this video has no swear words or inappropriate images, the video contains knife stabbing, gunshots, and blood that might be unsuitable for some young viewers; only mature audiences can watch this video. Parental guidance is advised.
FAIR USE COPYRIGHT DISCLAIMER
Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, commenting, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favor of fair use.
Music
This music in the credits is called Sophomore Makeout by Silent Partner; it is royalty-free and has no copyright.
And me
And me, Super Zero, I made this YouTube poop in the first place video based on Nerf Guns VS Vegetarians from GunVsGun.
The rest of the credits are in the YouTube poop video.

Discussion What currently/soon to be public domain movies/shorts do you think'd be good fodder for YTPs?

I feel like it's weird that there's so little use of the Public Domain in YTPs, given how many weird things are under that (at least under the weirdness of US Copyright Law + Law of the Shorter Term), and how many sound movies are now becoming PD (Again, thanks to that weirdness), and how that makes it less likely to get DMCA-ed/Copyright struck.
So, I may as well ask, what PD or soon-to-be PD material do you think is underutilized in YTP culture? I'm going to start by saying the works of Ed Wood, because my god, his stuff has been known to be PD for decades and his work feels like the exact kind of fodder that the CDI games are, Criswell should be a stock character on the level of Morshu and King Harkinian!
Also, the Marx Brothers' works are slowly trickling into the PD, and they're also perfect because... I mean, it's the Marx Brothers, they're classics. And Universal's Dracula and Frankenstein are also becoming PD next year, so there's a lot to work with there, especially if you add in the Mexican Dracula!
Also, there's a bunch of old educational/PSA shorts that lapsed into the PD that'd be perfect too, special shoutout goes to Munchers for being weird and upsetting and A Case of Spring Fever because, like with Criswell, how the fuck is Coily not a YTP star, he's MST3K alumni!

Discussion So while I was making my improved YTP with subtitles, I decided to rapidly supercut my YTP with just good parts only and scrape out pointless parts

I might just make it under 10 minutes or so depending on how many good parts there are

Question Should I add my YouTube channel name in my first YouTube poop video?

Upvotes
Hello, everyone. I have a small question: should I add my name to my first YouTube poop video? I downloaded two versions of my YouTube poop video. The first version is without my channel name, and the second version is with my channel name in the bottom-left corner of the video. I think I should choose the first option without my channel name, but I want to see what people think in the comments on Reddit.
I like watching YouTube poop videos, and some have no channel names at the bottom of the screen, while others do. So yeah.
My YouTube channel is named Super Zero, and I'm making my first YouTube poop video, based on a video called Nerf Guns VS Vegetarians from the YouTuber GunVsGun, a Nerf YouTube channel about Tommy Gun and Danny Gun, who fight with Nerf guns in the house.

He privated all of his videos and deleted his channel. Is it because he simply wanted to retire like NKPower or did he do something bad?
