My xbox 360 E had broken and was nto powering on I had taken it to a repair shop to get it fixed. He thhen messaged me back saying that the motherboard is coroded and sent pictures. He then asked if i do want to go via the repairs. Now from the pictures i would like to ask is this motherboard fixable and should i proceed

Anybody know the origin of this piece? I believe XNA was for game developers for the XBOX 360.

So, my local game store had a sealed copy of The Gunstringer for $18 and it comes with the downloadable code for fruit ninja, can it still be redeemed or is it just a glorified piece of paper at this poin? I have to dig my 360 and kinect out of storage and just wanted to ask you guys if its still possible.

To clarify I'm asking this as I just bought this Slim today and the shop mentioned it had been repaired so need to know if I need to return it or if it's working as expected.

I've spent weeks researching which 360 to buy so I can play Blur etc and finally picked this Slim Trinity model.

The issue was my router wouldn't assign it an IP Address. After like 2 hours of Googling, trying a static IP address, checking my router settings I realised all I had to do was change the 2.4GHz signal to 802.11b/g/n Mixed mode and boom! Success!

However the download speeds are hilariously bad (5Mbps) according to the network test.

Maybe the 360 is choosing 802.11b which caps at 11Mbps I should try to force 802.11n?

Can you confirm is this normal for the internal slim network card and I should just use an ethernet cable?

My dad used to play music on my 360 forever ago and I totally forgot about it. Definitely nice to have in the background!

It pains me but I think its time to let go of it all 😭

Was able to connect just fine at my last apartment when I had verizon internet. For some reason with my new xfinity it will not connect. All my other devices/consoles have no issues. Any ideas on how to fix?

Rate my colldction guys

Is anyone still playing this game online?

Finally Got my stand! My 360 shrine is almost complete! Just waiting for faceplate I can actually use and abuse to get here and the look will be complete!

The only thing i dont love about it is you kinda have to push the games in hard, like ita a tight fit, probably a deal breaker for collectables, could see cover getting damaged if not careful

Alguno sabe o puede proporcionarme el archivo de boardview(BRD o BDV) de la placa de xbox 360 Fat V2 o también conocida como placa tonasket... agradezco de ante mano

Hey everyone,

Scored a fat Xbox 360 at the local recyclers today and it actually powers on. The shell is completely trashed, though — cracked and yellowed beyond saving. I've been watching some TronicsFix videos on these older consoles, and he mentions replacing capacitors. Since this thing turns on, I'm wondering if I actually need to go down that rabbit hole yet, or if I should just focus on getting a new shell first.

Three questions for the community:

1. 3D printed shells — Are there any good STL files or kits specifically for the fat/phat model? I've seen some "Neo360" and slim-style printed cases, but most seem designed for the Slim/Corona boards or require removing the DVD drive. I'd like to keep it as original as possible. Any links or personal experiences?
2. Capacitors — For those who've worked on these: is replacing all capacitors really necessary if the console boots and runs, or is that more of a "while you're in there" fix for specific failing revisions (like Xenon/Zephyr)? Don't want to recap a working board unnecessarily, but also don't want it dying on me in a month.
3. Rattling fans — The fans are rattling pretty noticeably. Will that cause any actual issues (overheating, vibration damage to the board/drive, etc.), or is it just annoying noise? Should I replace them before running it for long sessions?

Appreciate any tips or model links. Cheers!

I just got terraria from GameStop. When I try to launch it, it kicks me out to the game library with two copies on terraria listed. I saw some stuff about clearing the cache, but I don't have a hard drive. When I go to my USB and press Y, I get to a manage drive menu with no option to clear cache.

EDIT: Solved, thank you.

I have been inside of this Xbox due to the disk drive (tray was misaligned so it was stuck open slightly) but it still randomly decides to open the disk drive while playing a game after about 15ish minutes. I did replace the bands so maybe i just didn’t clean it good enough? Or are there other issues that cause this?

I found my old XBOX 360 after a few years of it collecting dust. I played my first ever game (one of the Halos) on that Xbox. I'm so glad that I set it up and I'm surprised how well it runs. Also the current situation with big companies pushing digital games, im happy i own a 360.

Hi everyone, I recently picked up a Xbox 360 from the thrift store, and I could not got it to connect to Xbox live.

i don’t have any external ports plug on it and it still doesn’t work after I restart the console.

I checked online for some help and one asked me to go get the update via USB from the official website, but it seems that they no longer have that.

Do any of you guys have any tips to fix it?

games like these that came with cool accessories that were needed to play the game were extremely cool but got phased out towards the early Xbox one era. They must have been making money with all the extras you could buy, so why did they stop?

I just bought my 360 two weeks ago so I didn’t need another one, but I saw this for 50 and couldn’t resist. So… now I have a 360 upstairs and downstairs lol. I love Star Wars so this is amazing, it even makes a little beep boop R2 sound when the tray opens.

Got it at Hobby Off in Taiwan, which is a Japanese game/toy second hand shop. So this is NTSC-J. They thought the controller was broken which probably took some off the price tag, but it was just the battery compartment that was crusty. I swapped that and it’s fine now. Will probably have to open and clean the console but it works well for now. No box obvs but it did include the Kinect haha.

Hey everyone i just bought a xbox 360 about a month or 2 ago and id like to have some friends to play with. I used to play xbox 360 back when it first was released but I moved on and I decided to bring back some nostalgia ☺️☺️

I currently play skyrim, mw2, mw3, minecraft, and some other single player games but i can gladly get some more multi-player games to play with people

Which one do you prefer? Is a certain one more rare?
