A couple months ago I posted the portable Xbox setup I built into a Pelican case for work travel.

Well, I finally got the perfect opportunity to try it on a plane. Empty row to myself, outlet right next to the seat, figured I had to at least try… No dice

As soon as I plugged the Xbox in, the light on the seat outlet went out. Unplugged it and the light came right back on. I guess it’ll just have to live as my setup for long layovers, downtime out on the range, or back in the hotel room.

Our cat likes to sit on top of my Series X to warm his butt while I'm gaming, increasing the chance of the Xbox to overheat. So I created 3d-printed this 'hostile architecture' mod to discourage the cat from blocking the fan exhaust.

Thought I'd got a great deal on marketplace, until I got home and looked inside the console. Spent the last few days cleaning her up and we're nearly good as new. The seller however did not mention that the disc drive does not work, so that's next on the list.

Literally was just about to go to bed until I saw this pop up. Had to get it, haven’t had a new Xbox since the 360 and have been on pc. Couldn’t even find one for under 500$ online until I saw this, thought I was going to get robbed or scammed 🤣

Just thought this was really cool. I made my first XBL account in 2009. Then I had to make another one in 2012 when I lost access to my first one. I'll have a 14 this August.

I’ve had these shelves built in my living room for a few years but they’ve been a mishmash of console types. I decided a couple weeks ago to see if I could fill them up with only my Xbox games.

Aside from the strip of PS5 games near the ceiling, this is all Xbox games on these shelves now.

I'm 3 years in corporate job and i was able to afford it. Feels so satisfying!! Growing up i played in playstation (psp, ps2 then ps4) Xbox was a guaranteed switch since I think it's the most value for money console!

Mine was Star Wars: Obi Wan - which imo was ahead of its time ;)

I didn't expect this post to blow up at all so let me explain a few things to some of you people in the comments getting ignorant for no reason. Also, thank you all for the valuable information, awards!

I do not care about making a profit on eBay whatsoever, I am just thankful that I had the opportunity to snag a working Xbox and controller without having to dish out the money some people are selling them for online.

I found the machine laying on top of a washing machine that was old and broken next to the dumpster at my complex, I assume it came from someone who either didn't care or wanted to get rid of it because in my area, people put items that still work next to the can for others to grab or check out. I've done this with furniture and other items as it helps people in need and most of everything that gets put out gets picked up the same day.

As for the console / controller, both of them are obviously used and needed to be cleaned thoroughly but they work great! The console is about 13 years old so it's slow but it plays all the games I wanted it to perfectly (Xbox 360 - Xbox) I don't care how old it is, I'm just happy I have something I've been wanting to get for a while now.

And the console has been laying on it's side since I received comments, still working on the watch tan line though..

I like them all (except the first one), but my favorite is definitely the 2013-2019 one

I pulled the trigger on the Xbox series X after a few weeks of debating it. It was the last one in my local area. Best Buy had it for over 700 already and online order only, Walmart had one, no target had them in stock anywhere not even online but they had it for $574.99, in 8 local Walmarts only one store had one, they also won’t be getting any until the end July or early august which is when they are raising the price.

Curious if this is harmful to the device at all.

EDIT: The device is not on the floor although it is close. My entertainment center matches my floor. I took it apart today to clean it and it was surprisingly not bad. A "lint ball" the size of a golf ball in total. I've moved it up and out of harm's way. Thank you to all those with supportive advice and the lulz. To the negatives, 😝😝😝.

Been an Xbox guy since the Original Xbox and have been collecting Games, Statues, Controllers and anything gaming related since I was like 12 (I'm 28 now). This is quite literally the room I have dreamt of building since I was a kid... (it also helps that I have my own house, no kids, and my wife plays games and collects too😂😂😂) Hope you all enjoy it and if you have any questions feel free ask away!

I was an alcoholic and drug addict for about five years, I sold all my gaming stuff for my fix. After having alcohol poisoning and almost dying I went cold turkey. I've finally decided to get myself an Xbox in honor of two years sober. My friends are beyond excited for me to be able to play with them again!

I haven't games at all since 2020, please give me some of your favorite Xbox games on gamepass for me to check out!

One of my rarer finds for 240$ (converted from local). The teen in me always wanted to get a XBOX One X, and this being the special one. A sucker for limited editions, I couldn't just let this one pass by. The teen in me is just screaming!!!!
