I know how to manually transfer my UI and other settings in WoW but wanted a tool to make it even easier. I am sharing it here in case you too spent weeks tweaking the UI in Forever Beta and want to be ready for the release on Nov. 4.

You must create your character as normal on the release. Then run this tool and transfer the things (there are options) from your beta character to the new character.

I tested it during the stress test and it works great.

I first made this addon almost two years ago when I saw that the ClassicBestiary addon hadn't received an update since 2023, and have been maintaining it ever since. With the upcoming release of Forever I decided to make a version for this version of the game too. Not all features have been ported over yet but so far it includes:

• Tooltip that displays the abilities an NPC has
• Multiple tooltip display modes
• Ability translations for 8 languages
• Display of an ability mechanic, range, cast time and dispel type (optional)

Forever inherits the same limitations that retail set in place in terms of fetching some information in certain scenarios. An example is NPC data when inside dungeons and raids. Unfortunately there is no way to work around this. To give players an alternative, a new window was added that displays dungeons and raids, along with the NPCs that can be found there.

This has been in development for close to 10 years, and at its core, transforms WoW from a traditional tab-targeting MMO into an action-combat game with Reticle Targeting, Click Casting, Mouse Look, and a ton of other features that help push the moment-to-moment gameplay of WoW towards that action-combat vision.

It's been in development since 2017, with the two leading devs - myself and thericgames - having a combined 30 years of Software Engineering experience under our belts. Some of you may also recognize my username from previous contributions to the addon dev community, going all the way back to 2016, like HeyBarbaruivaUI. But the nature of Software Engineering has changed, and AI use has become inevitable, as it speeds up the process so much, so AI has been applied responsibly to the project with proper supervision within the last year, with the bulk of its work being done on the GUI. Rest assured, all the core features and 95% of what's here were coded by hand long before the first version of ChatGPT hit the market. And, like I said, 30+ years of SWE experience behind this project.

For some reason I cannot find the option where I can change it, when I go to edit mode it just says Move via Blizz Edit Mode, everything else looks like ElUi except for the auras.

I play with a controller, there are many controller addons out there (including the native Gamepad UI)… none of them are 100% what I want.
For starters none of them has a big proc alert directly on the action bar.

So I decided to make my own controller action bar addon.

This may not look groundbreaking to many here, but this will be the layout I'm taking to launch so I've decided to share it in case it piques anyone else's fancy. I've dabbled in some Ellesmere UI during beta, which impressed me, but I'm about 90-95% satisfied with this for at least leveling up. I'll no doubt add a few addons here and there and may enable some EUI modules like Forever Essentials/Quickdraw/Quality of Life as they're genuine gems.

Note that this will support a full 8 action bar setup with only action bar 1 shown (Blizz doesn't allow you to hide it) and bars 2-6 being hidden. When bars are hidden, they will only appear when opening the spellbook, macro menu or dragging an item. Bars 7-8 are off to the sides of bar 1 if you feel the need to throw the odd item or macros there for clicking, but the buttons on bars 7-8 should hide if not in use. This is great for me because actionbars are just keybind fodder and I track everying using Cooldown Manager now. If anyone has any questions, shoot!

Edit: Forgot to mention this layout makes use of Swing Timers, Damage Meter, Cooldown Manager and Personal Resource Display (only the resource portion) so make sure to enable (use search bar in options menu) those for full effect!

I’ve been building FlashHUD, a Hunter addon for WoW Forever. It started as an ammo counter and grew into a toolkit for combat timing, cooldowns, pet care, alerts and everyday conveniences.

After a lot of development, in-game testing and player feedback, 2.0.0 is ready for live 4th nov! The screenshots above show the combat HUD, Mend Pet reminders, Tracking wheel, spell-rank checker and available themes.

The part I’ve put the most effort into is making it easy to customize. Open a feature’s settings, hold Alt to see where you’re editing, and move it into place. There are previews throughout the menu, magnetic alignment, Ctrl+Z/Ctrl+Y undo and redo, and searchable settings.

What does it offer?

• Combat timers: Auto Shot, cast/channel, melee swing and mana, with configurable shot guides, latency display and five-second-rule cues.
• Cooldown tracking: three customizable rows for spells, pet abilities and usable items, with separate specialization layouts.
• PetHUD: health, Focus, happiness, feeding tools, food reminders and pet debuffs. Call, Dismiss and Revive share one button/keybind.
• Mend Pet reminders: range and mana states, with customizable text, colours and icon tint.
• Hunter indicators and alerts: Aspects, Hunter’s Mark, Summon Hawk, missing pet, low ammo, durability, Feign Death resisted and much more.
• Smart Traps: separate countdowns for armed traps and active effects.
• Action wheels: Tracking, Aspects and custom wheels for the actions you want within reach.
• Spell-rank checking: warnings and action-button highlights for lower ranks left on your bars after training.
• Everyday tools: optional auto-repair, grey-junk selling, ammo restocking with purchase confirmation, weapon-training hints and a duel countdown.
• Statistics: recorded character, pet, profession, travel and other activity.
• Your own layout: Quick or Advanced setup, saved profiles, sharing, six themes and individually selectable features.

I came back to WoW for the Forever release and really liked Blizzard’s new quest tracker. It looked great, but I missed some of the QoL features other addons offered.

So I made BetterTracker to add more customization and useful controls while keeping that familiar look and feel. I thought others might appreciate it too, so I wanted to share it.

It keeps Blizzard’s tracker and adds:

• Zone Grouping: Collapsible zone sections, current zone first, and optional auto-collapse for other zones.
• Sorting: Sort by quest level, title, or Blizzard Order, with unfinished or completed quests first.
• Completion Controls: Fade or minimize completed quests and hide finished objectives.
• Zone Previews: Hover over a collapsed zone to see its quests and progress.
• Custom Colors: Choose Blizzard, BetterTracker, or Custom presets, with adjustable colors and text brightness.
• Quick Controls: Expand or collapse zones directly from the tracker, and right-click the Quests header for sorting and settings.

First release is now on CurseForge. I only play WoW Forever, so compatibility with other versions hasn’t been confirmed. Obviously, beta will be over soon, but I will be updating this for the full release.

Hey everyone! I’ve just released QuestFocus 1.0.0, a WoW addon I’ve been developing to bring some of the exploration and immersion back to questing.
One thing I’ve always loved about Classic WoW is the feeling of discovering things for yourself. But with modern quest addons, I often find myself following waypoints and staring at the minimap instead of actually experiencing Azeroth.
That’s what inspired QuestFocus.
Rather than showing you exactly where to go, it uses a subtle golden glow around the edges of your screen to guide you in the general direction of your quest. You still have to explore, pay attention to your surroundings and figure things out yourself.
It has Explorer and Guided modes depending on how much assistance you want.
It’s currently built for WoW Forever, with version 1.0.0 now available on CurseForge.

Anyone have something similar to this? The creator stated they're not working on it anymore or porting it over to Forever. It had stylized elements that were my favorite from anything I've seen. Shame this was the one UI addon I used instead of the regular classic default

Hi everyone, I setup a few addons so that I didn't have to remake my UI the day of the release. How can I save these files on a USB?

In the past I'd save the interface and WTF folders, but when I open the classic beta folder, I can't seem to find the WTF folder.

Hi, does someone know if we can make these bar to be bigger ? I tried to find any option ingame, but I really can't find it.
It's really too little for me to easily read them, but the only option I found that could make them bigger was to increase all my UI size (and that's just not the best solution to rework all my UI for that).

Hi all, just asking if there are any addons that make the levelling experience slightly easier in terms of where to go? One thing I really struggle with Forever as a Retail Andy is knowing WHERE to level and which quests to take and which to ignore due to not being worth it. Are there any addons or resources to help this? I don't want something like RXP or GuideLime where its a speedrunning guide but just something that points me in the right direction.

Furthermore if there are any addons that help with quest tracking in different zones and dungeons that would be helpful too!
