Was playing with Conri and Keeva this morning until Conri decided to take a dip in his water stocktank. So unless I want muddy paw prints all over me, its time to leave the containment. Maybe next time. 😆

BREAKING: A collared
wolf reportedly belonging to Yellowstone National Park's 8 Mile Pack has been k*lled by blaisebikes in Montana, with disturbing photographs circulating online showing the animal's bloodied body displayed as a trophy.
The photographs, reportedly shared by Trophy Bucks and Bulls of Montana, were accompanied by the announcement: "WOLF DOWN!! CONGRATS."
Congratulations for WHAT? For killing an intelligent, sentient animal and proudly displaying its body for applause?
The photographs also raise concerns that the wolf may have been shot in the abdomen, potentially causing prolonged suffering.
Yellowstone's wolves are protected within national park boundaries, but those protections can disappear the moment they cross an invisible line into neighboring states.
Wolves' lives should not become trophies simply because they cross a boundary.

Great article

As a West Ham fan I obviously hope we go up but after your 2-1 win over Burnley yesterday do you think you can also push for promotion?

Although separate, two appeals presented to a three-judge panel in Missoula, Mont., have a common theme. In both cases, the U.S. government contends gray wolves no longer need the protection of the Endangered Species Act. Meanwhile, wolf advocates argue ESA protection should be extended to more wolves.

In one appeal, a District Court judge in Montana sided with wolf advocates and ordered the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to consider expanding federal protection to wolves in the Northern Rockies, which includes Eastern Oregon and Eastern Washington.

In the other case, a judge in California ordered the service to restore federal protection to wolves in Western Washington, Western Oregon and California.

Assistant U.S. attorney Emily Polachek said the rulings didn’t change the wildlife service’s judgment that gray wolves in the Lower 48 are not endangered and should be managed by states.

“I think both of these district court judges took it upon themselves to become wildlife biologists,” she said.

Aw, I'm sorry, don't like the science, Emily?

Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know about this new anti-wolf documentary.

A hunting group called "Hunters for Hunters" just put out on YouTube an hour long video called "Minnesota... Fed to the Wolves." It’s basically a massive political push to get people angry and lobby lawmakers to strip gray wolves of their protection.

Please note that it contains pretty distressing content. They use heavy emotional appeals and blame wolves entirely for lower deer numbers to get sport hunters riled up.

What’s the best way we can push back against this kind of media blitz? Are there any local Minnesota groups already on top of this?

Link: https://youtu.be/ahnFeO--HKU (If you do check it out, it's probably best not to engage in the comments or downvote it, since interacting with the video just feeds the algorithm and spreads it further).

I am so tired, so that is why this doesn´t have a description.

The most recent post about the decline of the wolf population in the study area, voyageurs national park, is quite interesting as it show the wolves adapting to a decline in white tail deer due to several severe winters several years ago
