At this point I LOVE the disrespect, itâs fuel. But the SEC network ASSUMING Oklahoma was ranked and we werenât, JOKE.
Edit, because I realize the audio is bad: âon the road, winning against a ranked team here, what does it do for the Kentucky program?â

I LOVE watching Big Franck play! He is a tank! Ousman is also going to be my favorite for this year.
We looked scared coming out of the tunnel tonight so Iâm not going all in on my takes. I feel like nerves are playing a big part in tonightâs performance so far. And we are shooting 25% from three because of it.
I saw some changes in the IB plays. We are not guarding the man inbounding the ball. We also have a new play to get the ball in that isnât just stack em up and somebody pop out behind half court. So there is hope.
We still canât fight through screens. Canât we hire a coach for that?? Geez! Itâs been years of the same issueâŚand itâs a big one. Speaking of ongoing issues-we arenât defending the pick and roll any better than last year.
All that being said, it feels good to be back in Rupp for another season. Hereâs to #9.

Now that Will Stein has shown early success at UK, inevitably the narrative he will jump at the first chance to leave for a big school has grown. I genuinely dont believe this narrative. In todayâs day and age, the ability to take a program to the top is more doable and going to a Texas, Alabama, Michigan, etc isnât necessary. Sure the allure is still there, but for how long?
2 examples nobody ever brings up: Cignetti at Indiana and Hurley coaching UConn hoops. Both of which had the exact same narrative surrounding them and both literally said they didnât want to leave bc they want to build the program where they are. They turned down deals to leave, extended at their current program and have continued the success. Will they always stay put? Not sure, but the fact they chose to stay put for a bit longer says something.
I really donât think people give enough credit to the fact Stein is from Kentucky and grew up a part of BBN. This kind of thing really does matter to people you know. When he is at the podium borderline in tears talking about the program and people of Kentucky, that matters. I genuinely donât see him leaving this place anytime soon. Certainly not short of some serious success here.

Tony Fink scaled the 8-foot wall lining Kentuckyâs football field, then reached up and grasped his 12-year-old daughter, Kaitlyn, to help her down. His two sons ran wild with the thousands of other crazed fans. His wife stayed in the stands.
It was Oct. 13, 2007, and Kentucky had just knocked off No. 1 LSU in triple overtime. Fink, then 48, was exhausted, and he settled on his back on the grass, a white-and-blue pompom in his right hand. He was dressed in blue from head to toe, down to his Kentucky blue lizard-skin shoes.
Kaitlyn sat beside him, keeping an eye on the football-fueled madness unfolding in Bluegrass country. He closed his eyes and smiled.
âI thought, âMan, there canât be anything better than this,ââ Fink said.
Then he heard a rush of clicks. He opened his eyes. An Associated Press photographer hovered over him.
The image went as viral as an image could in 2007, the earliest days of social media. It became part of Kentucky football history. His kids blew it up and framed it. He can look at a wall in his home and remember one of the happiest days of his life.
He never imagined he would get to experience it again.
Until Kentucky stunned a ranked LSU team in overtime again on Saturday and presented an opportunity.
When March Madness comes around, Fink will tune in. He pays attention to Kentucky basketball, but the difference is clear.

I saw some folks talking about it but over the weekend my brother sent me a Change.org petition someone made to get the Power K permanent. I signed it and merely just a messenger. GO BIG BLUE from a native Kentuckian now living in Alabama.

Thank you Lexington, for the great experience. The town is amazing, very good people and had zero issues with anyone except for the blonde who screamed in my ear as she was running onto the field. My seats were great and I loved the Kroger field atmosphere. No, itâs not as good as Death Valley đ but it was good nonetheless. I would highly recommend anyone, as an out of town fan to come to a game here and there is not a bad seat in the house. I appreciate the people here who commented on my other post, and yâall have a good football team. Minchey can play. Sucks Lane told Darby he wasnât good enough, he clearly is.
Update: I am also planning on returning sometime this winter for a game at Rupp. Talked to a lot of people who highly recommended.

The AP dropping us out after a win is obvious, but the train of âLSU is a monster this year, of nvm ole miss is a monster, oh wait nvm Florida is a monster, oh wait I think Mizzou is a monsterâ then we beat one of them and âoh man they just ainât who we thought they wereâ. Excuse tf outta me?! Look at the SEC standings son, weâre 5-1, dropped two top 10 teams and pulled one of the biggest comebacks of the year in one of the most intense settings in the nation. Right now itâs âOklahoma is real again!â If we come out with the win itâs going straight back to âope, nope, wait a minute Oklahoma does just suckâ. The Stein era is just getting started.

Just so we're clear, I'm not saying Minchey should or shouldn't win the Heisman (lies, he should!), BUT...
through 6 games on the 5th hardest schedule in the country (ESPN FPI), here are Minchey's stats:
-120/178, 1394 yards, 11 TDs, 1 interception.
-Averages: 20/30, 232 yards, 1.8 TDs, 0.17 INT
Last year's Heisman winner (Fernando Mendoza), through 16 games averaged 17/24, 221 yards, 2.5 TDs, 0.4 INT on the 10th hardest schedule in the country (ESPN FPI again)

Before the GW QB draw, Stein had 8 o-lineman and 3 TEs on the field. What do you think his plan was?

Hello! I'm visiting Lexington for the first time with some friends to see the UK-Vandy game, and I was looking for some recommendations/ must sees while we're in town, mainly
- restaurants
- bars
- spots to tailgate for the game
Any advice would be much appreciated! I'm glad you guys are having more fun with your first year HC than I am!
