Hey everyone!
I'm a student, and for the past few months I've been working on a little passion project called House to Half.
I know there are already a few theatre-tracking platforms out there, but I felt like there was room for something with more features, a cleaner design, and a bigger focus on community. So I decided to try building one myself.
You can rate and review shows, log your theatre visits, create lists, follow other theatregoers, discover new shows and more!
It's completely free, with no ads, and I'd genuinely love to hear what you think! I'm still improving it, so any feedback or suggestions would mean a lot. ❤️

Six months ago I started a website with a big, audacious goal: to track every West End performer, covers included, who goes on at every single show.
That website is Recast (recast.show). Members have now logged over 14,000 shows, more than 1,200 of them in London. The first picture is from last Friday: at Rent at the Tom Stoppard Theatre, Hannah Macpherson went on as Maureen. The second is The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales on September 26, when eight covers went on.
But the work is never done. If you're interested in helping, we need more people in the stalls and dress circle logging every show they see.
Or if you just want to remember the performers you saw, Recast is for you too.
Every time you log a show, you get your own programme for that exact night. Click into a performer and you see their bio, and also exactly where and when you've seen them perform before.
And it goes far beyond the West End. It follows a performer's whole career, from the Edinburgh Fringe to Off-West End to the West End to Broadway and more.
It works backwards too. If you remember who you saw years ago, or have photos, programmes or screenshots, you can add that night to the record. If you want to help build the record or just log your own shows, join us at recast.show.

As a Phantom fans, I finally got to experience Love Never Dies in London! 🥹❤️
The music is absolutely beautiful, but the plot… let's just say it's a bit like a soap opera! 😂💀
At least this time, it's in concert form! 🎶 But I really hope we get a fully staged production of Love Never Dies someday. I'd love to see the whole story come to life on stage! 🤞🌹

For those that have seen it, how much would you say you’d be happy to pay to see Paddington (in hindsight, knowing how much you did/didn’t enjoy it).
I’m looking to go early next year and tickets are mostly £200+ minimum (for when I’m looking to go).
Yes, I’m aware that booking further in advance lowers prices but I’m specifically looking for early 2027 so please do not recommend that. But based off your experience, how much would you say you’d be willing to pay? :)

Hi I have two tickets to Golden Boy, with Josh O'Connor, on October 23 that my wife can't attend and the show is completely sold out -- so looking to ideally swap the pair for another date but would also be willing to swap just one ticket. Most, but not all, dates between now and the last show on Oct 31 would work with enough warning. Here are the details:
Show: Golden Boy, Almeida Theatre
Date + time: Friday, 23 October, 7:30 pm
Number of tickets: 2
Specific seat number(s) & section: Stalls, F11 and F12
Original ticket price: £37.50 F11, £27.50 F12 -- bought during member pre-sale so much more expensive now with dynamic pricing (if a ticket ever does appear again)
Resell price: Looking to swap ideally but would consider offers. DM me if interested.
Note I also have a pair of tickets to the Cary Churchill play Triumph that immediately follows at the Almeida (i.e. Oct 23 at 10:45 pm, the final performance.) Happy to discuss including that in the swap as well but not mandatory, just let me know if interested....

This felt a more accessible Chekhov to me. Has anyone seen it yet or intends to? I thought Vinette Robinson’s Varya was terrific.

Hi! I'm 22, and I'm looking for someone from Bristol or nearby who loves West End musicals!
I'd love to find someone to plan London theatre trips with. I usually try to see two shows in a day to make the most of the journey, and I'd love to have someone to enjoy it with🫶🏻
One of the things that makes evening trips difficult for me is travelling home afterwards, (especially the underground!) so it'd be great to find someone whose journey back is similar to mine, so we could travel together.
I'm quite keen to see Beetlejuice before it leaves the West End, or I'd love to see Hadestown and Hamilton with their new casts, but I'm not overly fussy, and I'm flexible about shows and dates, and would just love someone to enjoy shows with!!
If you're Bristol-based, enjoy musicals and fancy having a theatre buddy for London trips, feel free to reach out 🫶🏻

I’m taking my bf to London to see a musical for his first time. He’s English second language so I didn’t want to do anything too complicated. I’m struggling to choose between Hadestown and Phantom of the Opera. I like Hadestown a lotttt but I’ve never seen phantom. Any advice would be appreciated!!

Planning a London trip and trying to do a matinee and an evening show on the same day, at least twice. I’ve done it once before (The Book of Mormons 2:30 then Les Mis 7:30) and the geography was perfect, the Prince of Wales and the Sondheim are a three-minute walk apart, but dinner in between was a rushed sandwich.
For people who do this regularly: which pairs work well, geography-wise? And do you go for two big shows in a day, or a lighter one (SIX, Operation Mincemeat) first and the big one in the evening?

I really want to get tickets as it’s one of if not my favourite Noel Coward play but I’ve heard VERY mixed mixed reviews? Anyone has seen it what did you think?
