Clayground: a volumetric clay editor in the browser, rendered with Three.js/WebGL
I’m the maker of Clayground. This is the browser studio: you build a form by adding, carving and smoothing clay, then paint it and work with separate layers. It runs with mouse, pen or touch and is free to open without an account.
The rendering and sculpt data are separate: Three.js/WebGL displays the generated surface mesh, while a worker owns the signed-distance volume and rebuilds geometry as the clay changes. It’s an interactive editing tool, so input behavior matters alongside rendering. For example, surface brushes use a snapshot of the visible geometry from the beginning of each stroke, keeping later dabs from chasing the clay that stroke just added.

The studio also has GLB, OBJ and STL export. I’d welcome feedback on the experience across browsers and devices—especially any lag you can reproduce while sculpting. Please include the device, browser and brush you were using so I can investigate.
