Feeling Stuck

I have had this plantar wart on the bottom of my foot since February 2026. I tried salicylic acid, went to the dermatologist for three rounds of cryotherapy...no good. I paused treatment for a bit during the summer to let the thing heal from the last round of cryo. Over the months it's gotten a bit bigger (or perhaps I've at least uncovered more of it) - these are zoomed in photos; it's not huge, but damn is this thing hanging in there.

Since September 1 I have been doing a salt soak for 30 minutes every day. For the last four days I also added in apple cider with duct tape at night.

This thing just doesn't seem to be responding. I have two questions:

  1. In the last image in the gallery above, taken today...is there any encouragement to be taken here? Is it good that I can see more black spots/blood vessels? Am I making any progress?

  2. With the ACV, to my surprise it hasn't hurt one bit when putting it on, and I am wondering if perhaps it's not getting through at all to the wart tissue to do damage. I have been debriding, but with an eyebrow/makeup razor from Walgreens. Perhaps I need a better tool to help me debride deeper?

Grateful for any and all advice, thanks!

How much longer

Post image

I had a wart come out on my finger a while ago. I had tried letting it be thinking the spots were just from me biting my nails but it’s a wart. I used Salicylic acid but no progress. I switched to doing the ACV and it’s black now. I’ve now done it for 3 the nights and letting it breathe throughout the day. How much longer should I keep going ? it’s a little sore but nothing too crazy. The white is from the moisture of a bandaid.

I have had this wart for over a year and I’m sick to death of ittt, I’ve been just wanting to get my nails done as stupid as that sounds 😭😭 I’ve got multiple photos of it over the many things I’ve tried, I am determined to stay more consistent and try some things that have been suggested on this page like ACV and using a scalpel to debride etc etc. any other recommendations on how I should go about getting rid of it and how long it might take?? I’ve recently been prescribed uptons paste (60% salycilic acid) however I feel like I need like a multi-treatment approach because freezing didn’t work, cutting most of it out to like pain and then putting wart off didn’t work 😭😭

Last photo is where I’m at with the uptons paste just after taking the bandage off to change it 😭 with each treatment and then fail or break from pain feels like it got worse…

Are warts really THAT infectious?

Looking at some comments here, it looks like warts are almost on a sci-fi level of spreading-capabilities, like touching them once and you're guaranteed to get a wart on your finger.

Considering they don't really go away on on their own, shouldn't the entire world population be covered in warts by now?

First Time Having A Wart…

I've been treating this wart I've had on my finger for some weeks now with compound W and I think I have been able to remove most of the wart, but I see some red dots around the wart wound, does that mean the wart is still there? It might not be that visible in the image but if someone could help me out I'll appreciate it

Wart on finger

This is what my finger wart looks like after debriding and treating with sacylic acid since the beginning of September.

I added more Compound W just now.

Curious to what my next steps should be?

ACV + hydrogen peroxide = Peracetic Acid ⚠️⚠️‼️‼️

Warning and reminder that mixing hydrogen peroxide and apple cider vinegar (ACV) can create Peracetic Acid.

Do not do this!!!!! It can cause chemical burns. And is dangerous when inhaled

I somehow managed to burn my face. Don’t do this shit.

I have mosaic warts and then a stray on my big toe. I’ve gone through 4 Cantharadin treatments with salicylic acid in between treatments. My podiatrist said they are mostly gone but looking at this after debriding what I can (bc it hurts SO bad), I don’t feel like I’m anywhere close to being done. :(

How to treat this?

It started as just the big cluster but spread after I used a pumice stone. Every once in a while, I will see a new small one and then it grows.

What I've tried:

-gorilla tape worked ho debride by tearing the wart off, but it also tore my other skin off so I had to stop.

-17% salicilic acid and bandaids seemed to make the warts grow faster

-40% salicilic acid and nex care waterproof duct tape also seemed to make them grow faster.

-I am taking 500 vitamin c and 15 mg zinc each morning, but I have not noticed any benefit

I tried putting white vinegar on a cotton ball overnight on the big cluster but didn't seem to accomplish anything. I found a store with apple cider vinegar so I will try that.

Another concern is that anything I put on my hands gets washed off as soon as I wash my hands. The soap at my work is very abrasive and dries out my hands a lot.

Is my wart completely removed?

1st picture: what it initially looked like
2nd picture: after about 4 days of compound w, I ripped the affected part off with my hands and that’s what it looked like
3-5th pictures: the remaining part turned dark and hardened up and after about 3 more days of using compound w I pinched/squeezed/ripped it off and these pics are what it looks like now
6-7th pictures: is what the thing I ripped off in pics 3-5 looks like
8-9th pictures: from what I can see the only thing I notice now is a tiny red dot. I tried to capture it in these pictures hopefully you guys can see it

My question is how do I know if my wart is completely removed and I don’t need to use compound w anymore? Is the red dot a sign that it’s still there and I still need to use compound W? I don’t want it to come back so how can I be certain it won’t? Is there some sort of test I can do or some signs that tell me whether or not it’s still there?

Thanks for the help!

Notes:
- the part where the wart was is still rougher than my normal skin texture
- I still feel pain when I press my fingernail into that area
Hopefully these help

hey everyone. i think i need a bit of advice as ive had this verruca for over 3 years now.

Ive tried using avoca 95% silver nitrate caustic pencil twice in last year and now tried to hydrogen peroxide which i think has really irritated the skin.

any ideas on what i could do next? i would rather avoid big costs to get it removed.

On my son's wrist, keeps growing, now looks a little red. Dermatologists scheduling into December. Could it be a wart? Would a regular doctor be able to help?

Podiatrist gave me silver nitrate pen and some files. I'm confused how to proceed.

The instructions say to file the verruca down then apply silver nitrate, once a day. But I feel like that advice would only work with a protruding verruca. Mine is fairly embedded in my sole and a tiny crater has formed making it impossible to file so I'm confused how I should be doing this and I'd really appreciate some advice.

I bought a curette scalpel to debride the inside of the crater, but obviously this is going to deepen the crater over time. Is that the goal? When do I stop?

How do I get rid of

Post image

I’ve had it for weeks now and I have recently started using 40% salicylic acid patches and debriding it with cuticle nippers that I sterilise with alcohol every time, it’s extremely painful and I miss hiking and bouldering so much. What will help? I saw tiny black dots on it yesterday but I nipped them off.
