Solved What's the weight of the Wacom Pro Pen 3?

TL;DR: If anyone can provide the weight (in grams or ounces) of the slim pro pen 3, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking of purchasing the MovinkPad 14 but need the exact weight of the pen before I can make that decision.

I have a problem with my dominant hand that's worsened over the years of using pens for drawing tablets. I don't have the same issue with regular pencils, or most pens, but digital pens (on account of having more stuff in them) are universally heavier and therefore universally worse for my hand.

Essentially, I need a pen that's as slim and weightless as possible (which I know is something most people avoid because it feels cheap), and I've seen some very promising things said about the portability and smallness of the slim Pro Pen 3 included with the MovinkPad 14, but I can't find the exact weight listed anywhere either on the official site or in people's reviews. Likely because no-one thinks to measure the weight of a pen, but, health conditions being what they are I have to consider the exact amount of grams my fingers will be holding for prolonged periods of time if I make this purchase.

Honestly any information is appreciated, even comparing the weights between apple or huion pens with this one might help at least give me an estimate of the weight. I've had a very thick huion pen that I at this point dread holding and can't work with for longer than 5 minutes, and while I've tried some smaller wacom pens and been alright they don't sit fully comfortably either. If I'm going to buy this tablet I need to know that it's actually going to be usable for me.

Thanks for reading, and in advance for any info provided!

Problem Cintiq Pro 27 Art Pen 2 firmware update has input lag compared to Intuos Pro (2025)

I have both a Cintiq Pro 27 and the new Intuos Pro (2025). I just updated the Cintiq Pro to the latest firmware that enables Art Pen 2 support.

The Art Pen 2 has input lag on the Cintiq Pro 27 and none on the Intuos Pro. (2025). The rotation feature is smooth on the Intuos Pro, it is noticeably slower on the Cintiq Pro. Also the Art Pen 2 does not track smoothly on the Cintiq Pro 27 compared to the Pro Pen 3 on the Cintiq Pro.

This firmware update is a downgrade in experience from the Pro Pen 3, when using the Art Pen 2.

By comparison, the Intuos Pro supports the Art Pen 2 much better. Input lag isn't noticable there. It's as fast as the Pro Pen 3 on the Cintiq.

So I would say this firmware update does not actually work well and is quite disappointing.

Can other's confirm this? Compare your Pro Pen 3 to your Art Pen 2 on your Cintiq Pro after updating your firmware. Do you notice the barrel rotation lagging as you twist the pen? Do you notice the Art Pen 2's tracking is a bit more "stepped" where as the Pro Pen 3 tracks smoothly?

If you have both a Cintiq Pro 27 and an Intuos Pro (2025) you can directly compare using photoshop on the Cintiq Pro 27 (as a pen display and as a display for the intuos pro).

This is disappointing. The Intuos Pro (2025) supports the Art Pen 2 better than the Cintiq Pro 27.

Problem Wacom CTL-472 pen detects input while hovering after being dropped several times

Hey everyone, I need some help with my Wacom CTL-472 drawing tablet.

My pen has started malfunctioning, and I really don't want to buy a replacement if I can fix it. The biggest problem is that the pen registers input even when it isn't touching the tablet, which makes drawing difficult because it keeps detecting the pen when I'm just hovering above the surface.

The pen has also been dropped several times in the past, so I'm wondering if the falls might have damaged something inside. I'm not sure whether the problem is with the pen's pressure sensor, its internal components, or something else.

Has anyone experienced this issue with a Wacom CTL-472 or a similar Wacom pen?

I'd really appreciate any advice on how to diagnose the problem and whether there's a way to repair the pen without buying a new one. If anyone knows what might be causing this or has successfully fixed the same issue, please let me know.

Additional details:

Tablet model: Wacom CTL-472

Operating system: Win10

Driver version: Latest Version

Issue: The pen detects input while hovering above the tablet, without touching the surface.

Possible cause: The pen has been dropped several times, so it may have internal damage.

I'm not sure which component is causing the issue, and I'd appreciate any advice on diagnosing or repairing the pen.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Question Any experience with Apollo / Artemis on the Moveink 14 Pro? vs Instant Pen Display

The picture is just an LLM comparing those two.

Sounds almost too good to be true, I would imagine Instant Pen Display would offer at least some tangible benefits compared to it.

Before I go for it, i wanted to ask if anyone has real experience with using this on the Tablet. I couldnt find much about this online. Maybe this Apollo / Artemis thing is too unreliable?

Purchase Advice Wacom Cintiq 24HD DTK-2400 for 90eur. Recommend?

Hi everyone, I just found a Wacom Cintiq 24HD DTK-2400 listed for 90eur in my local classifieds and wanted some input on wether it's recommendable I buy this tablet for 3D modelling and illustration purposes. All cables, pen with accessories, and stand included. Is it too old, possibly incompatible (running on a Mac setup), etc? Would you consider it a good price overall?

The screen size is important to me; I prefer working on a large surface. I wouldn't be able to afford any other screen tablet similar in size. Thanks for any advice...

Edit: I'm running macOS Ventura 13.2.1 if it's worth mentioning.
