Decided to take a break from my VTMB2 third-person mod and made this little thing. Hair physics is already working. Might post it on Nexus today. I want to make all 4 outfits. The third-person view for VTMB2 is still in progress. The combat foundation is already done (for those who are interested).

I find it hilarious that Strauss is probably one of the few character that can understand or at least articulate the malkavian fledgling's way of speaking.

Had LaCroix not been a dick and tried to kill us we could have had a sitcom-style shenanigans where Strauss acts as the translator for the fledgling's choice words for the prince whenever they did a job well done:

Malk!Fledgling: "The rats play hide and seek with the roses within waves of oil and cooked meats."

Strauss: "Ah, I see. The Nosferatu and the Toreador have been meeting near the local diner in Santa Monica"

LaCroix: "WHAT!?"

Hi, first time player here.

For some reason the game is telling me there should be a secret right here on this random roof top, I've been across all the sides of the building and there is nothing.

Is this a glitch or am I just here to early and this is something for later?

I know, I know. Another VR mod. There are already a few on this sub, and you might be tired of seeing them. Fair enough. But those are for Quest 3 standalone, and this one is for PCVR of the original game.

VTMB VR is a free, unofficial PCVR mod for Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, and version 0.5 is now out as a public preview. It runs through SteamVR on your PC (with experimental VDXR support).

You play the game in stereo 3D with head tracking and aim with your motion controller. You have a full first-person body, so you can look down and see your chest, and your guns sit in your character's grip. Feeding happens in first person. The inventory, barter screen, character sheet, map and character creation open as panels in the headset. You pick dialogue with the controller and hack terminals on a keyboard you can grab. Scripted camera shots and stealth kills can optionally play on a flat screen in front of you. Keyboard and mouse also work in the headset.

You need: Windows, a Vulkan-capable GPU, your own copy of the game (Steam or GOG) with Unofficial Patch 11.5, SteamVR and motion controllers.

Setup: extract the ZIP into the folder with Vampire.exe (back up any existing d3d9.dll, openvr_api.dll, openxr_loader.dll and VR folder first), start SteamVR, and add -vr to the launch options. Full steps are in the readme.

This is a preview. I've played the full tutorial with SteamVR on Valve Index and Oculus headsets. Other SteamVR headsets should work but are less tested, and native OpenXR and Virtual Desktop (VDXR) are experimental.

Known limitations: no physical melee or gestures, no roomscale collision and no physical crouch. Left-handed mode uses simpler hands. Some scripted camera moments may briefly feel off, and the 2D cutscene option can help.

Tears in my eyes—it finally worked! To be honest, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to refine the movements; the character’s original animations make it extremely difficult to position the hands correctly in first-person view. Furthermore, I’ve decided to hold off on showing the scythe and the hammer—it’s possible they won’t be implementable at all, as the limited hand-positioning options in first-person mode simply "break" the animations.

Ultimately, I’ll likely be able to provide the editing tools themselves, so that anyone who wishes can try to fix whatever they aren’t happy with.

It’s that time of year, started again and skipped the tutorial. Last time I did that, I don’t think there was a way to get the lockpick (the unofficial patch gives one in Trip’s pawnshop).

Having played this game so much, I wonder if there’s anything I’ve missed.

So what’s the most obscure thing you’ve found? Can be anything – line of dialogue, minor character, quirk, unexplained aspect, item. Just the thing you think is the least likely to stumble across?

I think one of the reasons why people like this game so much is the side characters. Pretty much all of them are at least memorable, even if you don't like all of them.

Fat Larry is a great side character, pretty much all the anarchs have good dialogue, Strauss is interesting. etc.

So, anyone have any favorite side characters? Or at least ones who aren't the biggest major players? Strauss and Fat Larry are up there for me.

I want to create a new NPC but I am struggling with it's purpose.
I'll voice the NPC myself since I do have a decent microphone.

The current role for the NPC is a messy Toreador who loves gossip, scandals and finding dirt from other kindred. He is someone who mingles with other Kindred and notices what they say, what they don't say, the micro-expressions when a name is dropped.

The current purpouse is giving the player information. The player may ask questions about several NPC's (which will only be activated if the player has met the other npc's) and the NPC will give them the information. At one point, the player may even sell information to the NPC, which would be the revelation of the Voerman sisters being the same person.

With this I already have a few problems:

• Bertram Tung is already an NPC who can give the player information about npc's, clans and sects and fits the role better as a Nosferatu.
  
• Second, players already know the NPC's after finishing the game so the information would be useless to them.
  
• Selling information wouldn't be a big thing since you'd expect him to already know everything (except the Voerman sisters situation).

So for several days I'm stuck with what the purpouse would be for the NPC.
If anyone has some idea's on what kind of NPC would be missing, it would help alot.

It's from my abandoned attempt at making a VTM Bloodlines inspired game, it's my passion project because of how much I love this game but it's too ambitious for now. I thought that I might as well show this sky (that I really like) to someone, since the project is dead (it will come back to unlife hopefully once I am more experienced).

I need help with this and im kinda useless with modding. So let me give you the low down. Ive got VtMB downloaded from GoG. Ive downloaded the latest patch from our lord and savior Wesp. Ive also downloaded the latest CQM(internet says its fine because they create their own file) and ive got two different launch icons. One for Patched and the other for CQM. The only thing else ive done is gone into the clandocs and edited The Malk PC files to show the Tremere avatar( i hate the Dr.Suess Pimp).

I took Therese Voerman's body and frankensteined and repainted her into my own VTM:B specific fledgling oc, Vesper! Normalest girl in the world. So so normal.

I've never hidden this, Tremere's my favourite clan and I found it very disappointing how they were implemented in bl2.

So showcased is...

Blood Curse/Theft of Vitae.

Now with a proper spliney blood-suck effect drawing things out of the target.

During bloodcurse channel if you hold m1 you'll start sucking blood out of the target - it's got a bit of a "warm-up" but once it's active it'll do consistent damage to the target and spend your blood pips while restoring those of every other ability.

If you keep the channel up you can end the siphon with blood curse still, or drop it any time, but obviously if you get knocked out of it you're at risk of not being able to cast again.

I've also added a bunch of TK enhancements - again through m1.

You can m1 a target to throw them at the end of it, and there's some passives that you can unlock that let you grip the target in middair with a wirebind effect.

If you use it on a low health target (with the right perks) it will also decapitate them for an instant kill.

I've also added some unique interactions with other abilities.

Beckoned targets get summoned to you, you swap places with muted targets, and glimpsed targets get arms of ahriman, taunted targets turn aggressive to all others.

But yeah - thoughts? feelings?

In many games (especially RPGs), I prefer playing from a first-person perspective, as I find it offers a deeper level of immersion. Because of this, I decided to try creating a mod for the game. I managed to implement unarmed attacks, but I’ve run into some difficulties with melee weapons. What are your thoughts on this?

downloaded mods and the patch but cannot pick up any weapon for some reason (1st quest where i fought someone to get some guys drugs back) couldnt pick anything up
