Hi guys,

Not looking to promote but I am building a logging app meant to keep track of all range sessions, firearm usage, ammo usage + low stock ammo alerts.

I'm adding a feature that integrates PractiScore and allows you to import those scores to keep track of them easier.
But I'm new to the scene so I was wondering if you guys use other sites to track scores, and what metrics you guys keep track of.

I'm looking for someone who's willing to answer a few questions regarding how they track and log their scoring currently. Across all competitions. If anyone is interested in answering some questions I'll buy you some lunch.

Going in with a few years of casual shooting experience, been ramping it up recently and hitting the range around 2 times a week and am getting interested in competitive shooting. Probably open division. Any tips or suggestions? Also I’m practicing with and planning on using my Kimber 2k11, is this setup viable?

Greetings,

I am trying to tune my MPA DS9 for hand-loads at 127PF.

Got an ISMI #7 and a WOLF#7 variable, the WOLF says “45cal 38/9mm super”

Did I pick the wrong WOLF spring or is the same and will work with 9mm MINOR?

Appreciate the advice.

I already had some gear and I just opted to use what I've got instead of buying a bunch of new stuff. I'm hoping it's legal. I signed up for the carry optics division. Does this look OK or do I need to change anything? I've got another option for the holster height of its needed. I'm worried it might ride too low.

Been asked to run the tablet at a recent match but I have no idea how to. Any tutorials out there? Level 1 match so no training required.

what would be a better way to activate the mag release if you have small hands?

activate with support hand?

or break grip and activate with the main hand?

open to suggestions

Shooting my first USPSA match next Monday. Does anyone have any experience with this beginner setup? Match is in Illinois and I’m running an LTT 92 Elite RDO with 15 round magazines. Are 3 or 4 magazines recommended?

This weekend I shot a 6 stage all classifier match. Only 5 of those stages are showing in the app. 24-08 is missing. Curious if this is a technical issue or there’s another reason. Photos attached.

If I get pushed into Open Division because my gun has a comp, does that make it harder to move up in class?

The wrong video was put in for absolute cinema which should be They All Count. Sorry about that!

here’s a link to the match where some of my scores came from!

Considering buying one pair to try out. Anyone got extra certificates? Please DM me 🙏

Does anyone have a pair of yellow glasses that they like?
Everything is killing my nose and ears.

Putting together my first USPSA Limited Optics rig and looking for a quality, buy-once-cry-once ratcheting belt.

Currently using a AEGITEC DEFENSE Hybrid Tactical Belt.

Currently considering:

• Volund Gearworks Ratcheting Competition Belt – ~$85
• Howitzer BattleComp 2.0 – ~$121 military discount
• Kore Essentials Competition Speed Belt – $129.95
• DAA Standard Ratchet Belt – $86.95
• DAA Lynx with Ratchet – $119.47

I'll be running a 2011 with Wilder Tactical mag pouches and Lee Holster Hangers accessories.

My priorities are rigidity, comfort, durability, and compatibility with third-party mounting hardware.

Anyone have firsthand experience with these belts, particularly comparisons between two or more? Open to other recommendations as well.

Thanks!

Am I compliant here or should i keep removing material from the carnivore to try to get this 2k11 trigger completely covered up?

Budget just because I don’t know how much I will enjoy the sport and want to start cheap then decide later. Have a Canik tp9sf and a colt 1911 competition 45acp. What belt, mag carriers and holsters are most common for cheap. 1911 or Canik? Thanks so much! Would like to be around $300 if possible for belt setup but can add more if the return is there.

I’ve shot many practical videos rifle type matches and long range precision stuff. I’ve never been a pistol shooter more than knowing how to but decided a few months ago to try my hand at it. Shot a USPSA match last month super slow and safe to learn the ropes and got hooked. Shot the second one today a little faster. I can tell it is going to be a struggle speeding up and risking accuracy. My brain says make the hit count too much for this.

I am currently running a DAA Lynx belt and have been loving it for USPSA but since I have recently gotten into more 2-gun stuff having a heavyweight shadow 2 holstered and flopping around while I’m sprinting with a rifle can get very annoying.

I currently have a boss hangar bolted directly into the link with a RKX carnivore holster for my 56oz 😭 S2. Works fantastic for USPSA but like I mentioned it flops like crazy laterally along where the links pivot when my gun is holstered. It helps if I crank down on the ratchet and tighten up the belt ofc but that quickly becomes extremely uncomfortable.

I was trying to think of a way I could mount up multiple links together like the neighboring 2 to either side of my holster hangar to make them no longer pivot but I can’t think of anything that wouldn’t look horribly bubba gunsmif. (I’m no stranger to a dremel myself but I at least try and make what I do look good)

If anyone has any ideas on how I can make the belt more rigid where my holster hangar is or knows of any products I welcome all input. Ideally I’m trying to resolve this issue by PCSL nationals coming up here in November.

For you MDs here, a local club here that currently only does SCSA matches wants to start hosting USPSA. They’re somewhat limited on space so the MD wants to just hold all classifier matches. He thinks it’ll attract more interest and I can’t say that he’s wrong there. Two questions:

- Is there a limitation to how often you can hold an all classifier match? Once a month cool?

- If he was to hold a 3 day match, could each day of the match be considered a separate match, thus allowing competitors to potentially shoot the same division 3 days in a row?

I already told him that was most likely a hell no. Way too gamey, on question 2. That’s exactly how you get a bunch of way overblown A class (or whatever) guys that can’t perform on a regular stage.

Let me preface, I know your weakness and what you need to work on are not mine and I plan to shoot my first match soon to see where I need to actually work.

However, I wanted to ask HOW you guys are tacking your issues and WHY you choose to do it that way whether it be in dry fire or live fire.

Stuff like reloads, transitions, and speed I think can most be done in dry fire right, so long as I am confirming a good picture, understanding I’m not following the dot, and confirming I have a similar grip to how I would in live fire.

Live fire I would mainly be pushing fundamentals like marksmanship and getting my gun to return how I would like or experimenting and seeing where I breakdown no ?

Or should I just be spamming classifiers only in live fire lol

I’m asking these questions or making these statements to help me understand how I can best train myself.

Hello!

Would a S&W 327 TRR8 be an okay gun for revolver division ?

I’ve also had my eye on the gp100 match or a simple gp100.

thoughts ?

I am just beginning to learn competition shooting. Bought my first belt- Kore competition. I have it sized and buckle on. Now I need help to figure out how to put it on. Please explain it like I’m 5. Thank you!

Whether you love his videos or hate them best believe you’re still thinking about him 🫡
