Terrible pilling on my Harrington Jacket
Is there a way to save it? I googled and searched Reddit and no one else seems to encounter the same problem š

This is your safe support group to share gripes and complaints about the new UX.
The new Uniqlo redesign sucks - you know, I know, we all know it. Due to popular demand as the mods of r/uniqlo we're creating a centralized containment thread for site sucks sentiments, because every time Uniqlo switches another country-specific site to the redesign we get a fresh wave of complaints.
We are an unofficial subreddit and we are not paid by Uniqlo. As such we can't guarantee Uniqlo will read or take any action based on complaints.
Please note that site sucks threads outside of this thread are now not allowed. If you see any please report it using the new rule. This will not apply to threads created before the megathread.

Iāve been testing white T-shirts under the same basic conditions, and one of them was the UNIQLO Supima Cotton Crew Neck T-shirt.
I wore it for 128 hours and washed it ten times at 30°C, measuring it when new, after the first wash and after wash 10.
A few things stood out.
The biggest change was shrinkage. The body length went from 72.7 cm to 67.5 cm ā a loss of 5.2 cm, or 7.2%. The sleeves shortened by 10.5% and the shoulders by 6.5%, while the chest and hem widths barely changed. In practice, that made the T-shirt noticeably shorter and less balanced in fit.

It was already slightly skewed when new, and noticeable twisting remained throughout the test.
The fabric also changed quite a lot. It felt soft and smooth when new, but had already become noticeably less soft after the first wash.
By wash 10, widespread pilling had developed across large areas of the fabric.

Iāve put the full measurements, more photos and traceability notes on White Tee Lab if anyone wants the full breakdown.
Iād be especially interested to hear from people who have bought more recent versions of the Supima tee. Have yours held up differently?

So Iām a size medium at Uniqlo and hate how only 2 pants/shorts have fit me from here. Their sweatpants, bikers shorts and the ultra stretch active wide pants fit me perfectly. Other than that, it feels like their other pants do not stretch at all from the back. The waist area fits good but thereās no stretch options in the back area.
It feels like the majority of the womenās bottoms is only meant for women with a specific build and doesnāt offer room for stretch.
Am I just getting the wrong size or is this just how they are?

I just purchased the black Pufftech jacket. Does it work as a midlayer in winter? It seems very warm for this purpose. Any fans of this one?
r/uniqlo • u/the_paavam_guy • 22h ago
I bought the red one almost a year ago and I got the black one yesterday. As soon as I put on the black one I noticed something feels off and on Comparison, it looks like the black one is longer. Both are the same size S and the same type āOversize crew neck Tshirtā. What do you think happened here?
Now returning this is gonna be a hassle as my city doesnāt have a Uniqlo store and the closest store is almost 3 hours away in London.

Canāt decide which one to get.
The blue one is from the womenās section, size XL, price is very nice Ā„5990 = $40
The brown is from menās with my usual size M; price is Ā„8990 = $57
I usually like the dark academia aesthetic (during winter if that helps)
Also, should I wait for the thanksgiving sale or cop now?
Thank you š

Hi everyone!
I have an interview coming up at UNIQLO Manchester Trafford Centre and was wondering if anyone here currently works there or has worked there before.
Iād love to hear your honest experiences, especially about the management, working environment, staff treatment, and overall experience.
Is it a good place to work? Any advice or things I should know before joining?
Thanks in advance! :)

Hi yaāll! So I am quite interested in buying a jacket where I could use for everyday and hopefully for my Japan trip some time next year. What would be the best jacket to choose between these two? Thanks in advance! š

Hi. I been working at UNIQLO Scandinavia for a while and I want to hear honest opinions from others how it is or was for you to work there.
Did you start as a staff or UMC?
How did you experience the management and working culture?

Iāve been hearing a lot about a decline in quality on some pieces, but Iāve never worned anything from the brand before. Iāve mostly bought from brands similar to Zara. What pieces are still good quality from Uniqlo?
Iāve been hearing people still recommend their jeans, underwear, and some shirts.
Is there anything, you would only buy from Uniqlo vs other brands?

Iām a fairly new Retail Specialist at UNIQLO, and Iām wondering if this is normal in other branches too or if itās just the work culture in my store.
Iāve noticed that some of the longer-tenured staff seem to leave their unfinished tasks to newer employees, sometimes at the last minute, and still expect us to finish everything before clocking out. I understand that retail is fast-paced and that tasks need to get done, but it gets frustrating when youāre already handling your assigned area and suddenly have to take responsibility for someone elseās unfinished work.
For example, when Iām assigned to cash wrap or the fitting room (FR), there can be so many RP (replenishment) and other tasks to handle. Even when Iām busy with my current responsibilities, Iām still expected to run all the stock myself before my shift ends. If I ask someone from the relevant area to help run the RP, sometimes they donāt even respond.
Another thing Iāve noticed is that, as a newbie, it sometimes feels like your requests for help or consideration arenāt taken seriously. I understand that Iām still learning and that experienced staff have more responsibilities and knowledge, but shouldnāt teamwork go both ways?
Iām not trying to generalize everyone because I know there are genuinely helpful and kind people, and I understand that every store has its own dynamics. I just want to know if this is something other UNIQLO employees have experienced too.
For current and former UNIQLO employees:
1. Is it normal for senior staff to leave unfinished tasks for newer employees right before their shift ends?
2. Are new employees generally expected to handle multiple areas and finish all assigned replenishment before clocking out?
3. How do you deal with coworkers who donāt respond when you ask for help?
4. Is this just how retail works, or does it sound like a problem with our storeās teamwork and task delegation?
Iād appreciate honest answers and advice on how to handle this professionally without coming across as difficult or uncooperative, especially as a new employee.

I bought sweater and pants recently from uniqlo. I feel like yung sweater nilagyan lang ng branding na uniqlo. Nung nilabhan agad after mabili, nagfafade na agad yung color humahalo sa water ung kulay kahit pangalawang laba. Is uniqlo doing the same thing as sa ibang stores. Naghahalo ng ibang cheap item sa known brand and magpapatong ng malaking mark up kahit hndi worth it.

Hello everyone, later this month my mom will go to Paris and she will go to Uniqlo and buy some products for me and my brothers. I wanted your recommendations on the products I should ask for her to bring for me.
I would love some not so casual pieces of clothing that I could use for the office in a semi-formal environment but also on casual plans. I“m a male in my thirties, white with brown hair.
It can be anything, pants, sweaters, polos, etc.
And which store in Paris is the best in terms of variety? I“ve heard there are a lot of stores there so I wanted to know which one should my mom visit.
Thanks everyone for your help.

Iāve been collecting the JWA stuff over the past month or so whatās your favorite pieces that have come out of the collection??
r/uniqlo • u/Imaginary_Scale_5224 • 2d ago
Thereās been many grumblings about Uniqlo downgrading its quality in classic pieces but without proof but please look below.
In the coming soon section there are cottton/polyblend blouses for the same price as actual cotton shirts released earlier in the year.
I honestly feel like boycotting Uniqlo and the entire mass production fashion industry.

Unicorns? No, Uniqlo's UV cut umbrella is honestly so good. The fabric blocks UV rays well and feels really durable. The handle, in particular, is super sturdy. I bought it for around 29,000 KRW, and I'm totally satisfied with it!āļø
It's also compact enough to carry inside my bag š
