Adopted just a few years ago, they're mainly worn when it's desirable to project a more overtly "military" appearance, such as at conferences with other militaries (previously, Swiss Guardsmen just wore business suits to such gatherings)

Not sure if this is a Civil War uniform, any information would be appreciated.

I'm looking for JMSDF uniform, rank, and bagdes infographic. I found some references about their summer, winter, and working uniform but i still need more.
Is anyone know where i can found like these? Books, magazine, or documents are welcome.

Really just US Army ASU with US insignia swapped for TX insignia but pretty interesting nonetheless.

The photo was made between ca. 1895 - 1910 by Adolf Martens, I'm trying to find out:

1. What is the branch he was serving in.

2. What uniform is that.

I know the resolution is horrible but this is apparently the best picture of them on the internet. The tunic is similar to the regular blue jacket TX troopers wear on formal occasions (with tan trimmings piped in red) but closed at the top.

Photo belongs to Graf Witold von Zychlinski, mysterious founder of Pearland Texas who disappeared without explanation. I don't think the town has done much research, and simplifies his story by calling him "polish" even though the Zychlinski family had largely integrated into the Prussian nobility, hence the german nobilliary particle "von" in the name.
