Hey guys, I just needed to let this out and see if anyone else is in the same boat. I'm a senior majoring in finance, and lately, I’ve been feeling completely tunnel visioned. I've honestly come to the realization that I’m just not good at this, and I really don't know if I have the motivation to start from scratch so far in.

I feel completely lost with everything to do with my classes right now, let alone trying to figure out my career. It feels like everyone else has it figured out. Is anybody else going through this right now? How are you handling it?

Please be nice to your uber drivers, stop making them wait 7 minutes. You think we get paid well? We don’t get paid for waiting 7 minutes. We are sick of hearing I’ll tip you in the app and nobody does who says it. If each ride makes us wait 7 minutes for you to come out that’s 28 minutes an hour if we do 4 rides in an hour of us not making nothing for waiting. And no more over filling the car! We can count above 4! We aren’t stupid! This is our earnings for each ride… when you pay triple we get a 30%

Me and a couple friends are pretty into paranormal stuff and figured that there may be some ghouls lurking around campus...I know that Mary-Lyon is rumored to be haunted, and that Stockbridge house is pretty old, but I'm wondering if anyone has encountered a ghost before, especially recently!

Im a current student elsewhere. I feel very isolated here and don't have a lot of interdisciplinary options. I am a neuroscience and film major and don't like it here. The town area is not great lol. I got into UMass when I applied in high school with a huge merit offer and would be paying about 20k there, which is how much I pay here. My dad, uncle, and cousin went. My dad and uncle were pretty into partying; my cousin was not, and he is introverted and had a pretty good time. He graduated about 2 years ago. I consider myself in the middle of introvert and extrovert. Here, I am in my room a lot, and the frat culture is a lot. I know it's similar at UMass, but I am just wondering if it's easy to make friends who are more into low-key get-togethers and studying together. I would like to attend the Honors College as well. I am also worried about the downtown part; I want it to be pretty accessible. I would be in a good spot tuition-wise, and I definitely prefer other schools that I am looking to transfer into, but if it comes down to cost, then I would probably choose UMass. Basically im looking for some insight on party life, interdisciplinary options, making friends, and Greek life (which im not a fan of personally), especially with safety risks, etc.

Basically the title. I'm in a dorm right now that I like, but I can't stand my roommate. He's very messy, piles trash to the ceiling, and overall isn't someone I'd prefer to live with for another semester. I did the original room change process this fall where you fill out the preference form and get assigned based on that. For reasons not worth getting into, that didn't work, and back in my original place.

Is the spring process any different? The website mentions getting an appointment and a selection window, which is different from what it said for the fall one. Do you get to actually pick what room you are in? How does the appointment system work? I'm just worried that I'll get placed somewhere bad like last time and have to pay the fee, since I don't think they're going to be as generous and waive it this time.

Hey everyone I don't know if anyone knows the answer to this but I can't seem to find this information anywhere else reddit nor web search. Basically I will be a research assistant for a lab this coming summer but I wanted to know if there will be any compensation. It isn't through the Lee-Sip program, and I haven't applied to any funds or grants yet. I know that I can't even achieve credits since it will be considered off-semester and will be charged 550 per credit.

TLDR: Is there any compensation in doing research in the summer, and if not is there any funds or grants I might be able to apply for in case.
