I spent my entire afternoon watching Nathan play in my face, and it was the best money I've ever spent. And I am going to ramble about it in this spoiler thread now.

Nathan and Elizabeth either fell in love, or they are both the best actors on earth. I literally gasped and started tearing up over the swimming in the ocean scene at the end. Billy is a fucking coke head, those sniffles... sus. Ew, I hate him. Nathan does too, I think. Pretty convinced the cut of Billy's dick in the shower was a way of throwing shade, and it was hilarious. Billy is jealous of Nathan, that was very apparent. He really came off as a total psycho.

My favorite scene was probably Nathan sitting in his car blasting Collective Soul looking a little angry in deep thought.

I felt empathy for Liz, I don't think she's totally innocent but I do think she lets the men around her shape her narrative more than she should. I actually related to her a lot more than I would have liked to going into the film. Did not expect Amanda Seyfried to show up halfway through and stay the rest of the movie, but I am so glad she did! Her reenacting all that was gold. I think she could tell Nathan liked Liz too :(

I agree that they are not mutually exclusive, you can be dumb as hell and do evil shit. Her choosing to speak out against her old death cult is not evil though. The more people that wake the hell up the better. If she has aided in any of their crimes, I’m happy to see justice served to her along with the rest of them.

We are all entitled to our own opinions, and I think she is too dumb to be that evil. Along with a lot of other people that are starting to question what in the hell they were even supporting. Trump is a cancer in our culture, and we should be throwing shade at the people who know this and are intentionally misleading the American people. This woman got played, dude. Criticizing her for trying to wake up the people she misled feels unfair.

I don't know. I think she really bought into that Q-Anon stuff and thought they were going to go after the pedophiles. She flipped on them as soon as everything started leaking that it was mostly the men in the circle she was trying to join. She is not the brightest, but I will give her credit for drawing the line at rape and pedophilia. She has also been a vocal supporter of all of those victims. She chose protecting women over chasing power, imo.

Lol, yes, probably have internalized some of it. Idk, I know rejection sucks. I myself am guilty of catching feelings for someone for just being themselves/existing and not dealing with the rejection too well. I think it's when it crosses over to hostility and over sexualization that it becomes a problem and starts to scare me.
