chances of being accepted
hello everyone!
in 11th grade my gpa was 18,43/20 (including Physical Education).
With a good OMPT-A do I have chances for IBEB or am I already cooked?
Thanks!

Hi everyone!
I’m an Italian student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, and I’m seriously considering applying for the MSc Finance & Investments at Rotterdam erasmus school of economics.
I’d love to hear from current students, alumni, or anyone familiar with the university.
I have a few questions:
1. Admissions
How competitive is admission to the MSc Finance & Investments?
How important are GPA, GMAT scores, and extracurricular activities?
2. Academic experience
How challenging is the program in terms of workload and exams?
How well does it prepare students for careers in finance?
3. Career opportunities
How good are the career prospects after graduation?
Is it realistic to find a job in investment banking, asset management, or other finance-related fields?
Do graduates have opportunities to work abroad, particularly in London?
How useful is the university’s reputation and alumni network when looking for jobs?
4. Student life in Rotterdam
What’s Rotterdam like for an international student?
Is it easy to make friends and have a good social life?
How difficult is it to find accommodation, and what would be a realistic monthly budget?
Would you recommend Rotterdam over other European cities for a master’s degree?
Any honest opinions, personal experiences, or advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Guys, I am a student at university of twente in Foundation program called TPC(Twente Pathway College) and took a degree in International Business Administration because i have 11 years education in my school. Now I am preparing for OMPT-D and planning to take it in February to pursue a degree in Econometrics and Operation Research next year, but I do not know if Erasmus accept my offer even with a high OMPT because I have only 11 years education and this Foundation program only for University of Twente and Erasmus requires 12 years.
I checked the official website of Erasmus and it says that we do not accept any Foundation program.
However, I know a guy who was also in the same Foundation program as me last year and he got offer from Erasmus because he just passed the OMPT-D and showed certificate of completion of 11 grades of school and that’s all.
I am just very concerned about it if I can get offer From Erasmus, just in case if you know something please tell me!

Hi guys, unfortunately I think my maths exam is going to go badly, so I was wondering: how much maths is there in microeconomics? Is it hard? What should I revise? And is the exam difficult in general? Thanks!

Guys, I don't think I'm going to pass the first block. My first experience with university was tough, but now I think I understand how it works. Do you think it'll get better? Do I still have a chance of staying if I fail the first two exams? Any advice? Has this ever happened to you? Thanks, I'm really worried...

I am a student in University of twente in TPC foundation programme because I had a 11 years in school instead of 12 and UT requires 12 years so that is why I went to the pre-bachelor program in International Business administration.
I am preparing for OMPT-D and planning to take until beginning of February, but I do not know if I can get higher 75% for university of Erasmus and take a degree in Econometrics and Operation Research, now I am going to learn Trigonometry and then Derivatives then other topics like integration and etc. To be honest I do not know if I can manage it in 3 months and if you guys already passed OMPT-D please give me some advice that really helped you during your preparation, I would be very grateful.

Hi all,
I'm an Indian applicant (3-year BBA, founder's office experience at a startup, had my own start up prior) applying for Sept 2027 to:
- RSM: MSc Business Analytics & Management (alternative: MSc Strategic Management)
- Erasmus School of Economics: MSc Financial Economics (alternative: Strategy Economics, Economics & Business, )
- UvA MSc Finance as another option, with Germany as a backup
I'm funding this fully with an education loan and I want to stay in the Netherlands after graduating, not go back.
For current students and alumni of RSM and ESE: did you find a job after graduating? How long did it take, in what roles and sectors, and did you need Dutch?
Also, what was your experience getting accepted with a 3-year Indian degree?
Honest answers welcome, I'd rather know before I take the loan.
Thanks!

I know RSM is quite competitive so let me list what is basically my CV,
AP grades: 4 in AP euro, 4 in AP Psych, 5 in AP Micro, 3 in AP CSP, 3 in AP Seminar
My predicted for this year will be in AP Research, AP Calc AB, AP Macro, and AP Business and personal finance. I will get good predicted and hopefully do well in the exams as well.
My extracurriculars involve, Investment club, Business and economics club, varsity track, varsity football, starting a company where I sold bracelets and donating everything to charity (still starting out). I have had two jobs as a chef and opened my own 'restaurant' in the boarding house. I have leadership roles in the boarding house.
I know they care a lot about international stuff I am Scandinavian going to an American/International school in Europe.
I think that is everything so, what are my chances and is there anything that I could mention that I haven't thought about, obviously I will only mention it if it is applicable to me

Hi everyone, I'm a first-year IBEB student and I'm about to take my first two exams. I find math really difficult, and even though I've studied a lot for accounting, I'm still struggling a lot (I did a mock test and got a 4.5). What do you recommend? Will it get better? Or should I consider switching programs? And what if I fail both exams? I'm feeling really unmotivated right now. Thanks

I am applying for IBA at erasmus rotterdam and have heard its piss easy from some students while some say the workload is substantial and should not be underestimated. I have done A-level maths and recieved an A, I have covered pure 1, pure 2, and stats 1 so far and its calm. Is there a lot of overlap there for maths ? Can any IBA students out there who do A-levels let me know if it makes it easier for me or if it is still hard.
Does the course itself give you much free time for activities friends and hobbies, maybe even weekly getaways to relax or explore? What is the student culture like for IBA specifically as well? Is it very competitive or more relaxed?

I am applying to this program at Erasmus. I heard the drop out rate is 40 percent in first year. Is that true. Is it really hard to survive there. I have higher A 's in Maths and predicting A star in A level maths , with knowledge of Further maths. Also is it possible to do off campus jobs in first year while doing 1st year. Any tips to avoid drop out.

Hey guys! So, I have been visiting multiple universities as well as university colleges in the Netherlands. I would like to study something along the lines of sustainability, but I am also open to liberal arts and science programs. My big thing is student life (a mix of international kids but local integration, of course!); I love a good city, but with a mix of history and nice architecture.
I would love to go to Utrecht Uni for its GSS course because #1 I love the city and #2 the course looks super interesting. However, the problem is, of course, housing (which, of course, I knew about the crisis, but it's still crazy), which makes sense. So that's why I visited UCU. But honestly (I could have just gotten the wrong impression from the guides and campus), I feel that it's so isolated and the environment doesn't feel like the unique "Student life" I would be looking for!
I visited Rotterdam, the University College Erasmus, and really loved it! I loved their 1-year guaranteed housing (which turned out to be really good accommodation) as well as its integration with the normal Uninersity erasmus and the city. The student social life (clubs and housies) seems a little less juvenile (Sry if that's rude) than, like, Leiden Uni college of UCU. I was thinking of making that my top choice (also, I am taking IB and don't have the best score, 32 excluding extra points).
Sorry for all the info, but yeah, let me know what you guys think. I haven't really looked at Maastricht or Groningen because they are so far away and a little off radar, but I am open to learning! (Groningen looks very cool tho, but im not sure being so far north is useful, and since I can't visit it, I'm not sure it would be worth it to go?)
HL English 5, HL Bio 5, Hl ESS 5, SL art 5, SL math application 6, SL french B 6. I've lived in many developing countries, speak 3 languages, and am EU citizen. Idk if this would help me understand where I could get in

Hey guys, maybe this is a bit of a random shout but does anyone who has done the MSc Financial Economics know what the easiest seminar choices are? I’m struggling quite a bit and don’t want to make things unnecessarily complex for myself. Thanks!
Edit: grammar

Hi everyone, I'm trying to decide between three bachelors at Erasmus and would love to hear from current students and alumni:
•IBA (RSM)
•International Bachelor Economics and Business Economics (IBEB)
•International Bachelor Econometrics and Operations Research
A bit about me: Belgian, like economics, and I am intermediate in Maths (level comparable to A-level Maths in the UK).
I've read the official pages, but they all sound great, so I'd rather hear real experiences. A few things I'm wondering:
•How heavy is the workload and how much maths is there in each?
•How international does the classroom actually feel in practice?
•How did the programme prepare you for internships, exchange or a master's?
•What do you wish you had known before choosing, and did you ever consider switching?
If you studied one and nearly chose another, I'd especially like to hear why you picked yours.
Thanks in advance!

I’m an ap student thinking about applying for Erasmus iba, but I didn’t work hard at all for my grade 11 plus my school is very harsh on gpa, so I got a gpa of 3.3. And I now have a 5 for Chinese, a 5 for precalc, a 4 for human geo and two 3s for macro and physics 1. I will be taking OMPT-A exam soon since my school doesn’t provide calculus ab/bc until grade 12. And I have an ielts score of 7.5. Do I have a chance of getting in? I kinda feel hopeless now with my gpa.
