Typeface or Font Appreciation Finding typewriter from a letter?
EDIT: Y'all found it in like an hour, thank you so much 😭 I was looking into 60s typewriters for the 1970 date on the letter; I hadnt even considered looking into the 50s yet. These are a couple of posts from a few years ago that helped me confirm: https://www.reddit.com/r/typewriters/s/Q5onakPWlZ https://www.reddit.com/r/typewriters/s/8KLDIdsfd1
Hi friends! I'm hoping to call in the cavalry for something I can't find on my own.
I found this letter in a book at a used bookstore. I am enamored with the typeface, letter spacing, and the crispness of the type (although I suspect that has more to do with the ribbon) and want it for my own! I did some digging for typewriters from the 60s and 70s and I think it at least may be electric, but I don't have enough information to confirm my suspicion. I am an amateur collector and I'm in over my head!
The photo I took is meant to include as much of the original text without including the personal info, but I'm happy to add more if different characters might help.
(I also want to include the disclaimer that I am not affiliated or in agreement with the society mentioned in this letter; I just stumbled upon this and want their typewriter 🤣😭)
Thank you in advance for any and all help!
