Im a exhange student and i am unsure where to go exactly, i see there are a lot of private dentist places, what places would you recommend?

Me and my spouse want to move to Finland and are currently thinking about buying a house in Turku. We visited the city for a few days and like it so far, but we are still wondering about some things.

We are looking for a calm area that is max 5km from the city center with nature areas nearby. Which areas are good areas to live in? Are there any areas we should avoid?

How is the area north and northwest of the city center? We were not able to find a lot of info about it. Is it a good area to live in?

We noticed that in a lot of the residential areas a majority of the wooden houses have very faded paint. What is the reason for this? Do people not care about that or are these houses being abandoned?

Update: My mother's family is from Finland originally, so I already have finish citizenship (dual citizenship). My spouse also has finish family and is EU citizen (Sweden). This post is in English since we do not speak/write finish well but we will of course learn it better if we decide to move :) We both work remote from home so employment and public transit options do not matter much to us. Budget is around 100-300k euro.

Where can i find some good winter clothing in Turku?

Does anyone know where the pizza guy from Gustavo is now working? Sadly they changed their menu and ditched what was, in my humble expert opinion, the best pizza in town. As much as the Gustavo staff is cool and their menu is great, I would love to know the pizza chef is working elsewhere.

Katoin varmaa 5 kertaa et bussi menee 18.27 tosta mun lähipysäkiltä. Lähen 18.15 kävelee pysäkille ja näin sen pysäkin sillee et kello oli 18.23. SIT MÄ NÄÄN KU SE BUSSI TULEE AJOISSA JA ALAN JUOKSEMAA IHA TÄYSII. Siin oli joku yks nainen oottamassa kans sitä bussii ja ehdin siihen ovelle sillee jalka melkee puoliks ovesta sisällä ja se kuski laittaa sen OVEN KIINNI? Kirjaimellisesti nenän eestä. Sit se kattoo mua ja lähtee jatkaa matkaansa siit pysäkiltä. Anteeks mitä helvettiä :D
Tajuisin EHKÄ tän jos en olis ehtiny pysäkille ja bussi ois ollu aikataulussaan mut HERRAJUMALA jos sä oot 4min etuajassa nii varmasti ois mut ehtiny ottaa siinä mukaan 😐😭

Oon hiljattain muuttanut Turkuun ja etsin salia jossa voisin jatkaa painonnostoa. Oon jo käyny Kupittaan urheiluhallissa, mutta siellä alakerran tilat oli niin ahtaat ja ruuhkaiset etten pystyny tekeen reeniä ja yläkerrassa en saanut reenata, koska tilat on varattu yleisurheiluryhmille. Alfa liikuntakeskuksesta olen myös kuullut, mutta mitäköhän kautta sinne voisi saada kulkulätkän nyt kun TAK ei siellä enää ole?

Turun atleettiklubi on tietysti yks vaihtoehto, mutta sinne on asuinalueeltani melkoisen pitkä matka.

Ptv gymillä kävin myös pyörähtämässä ja se vaikutti oikein hyvältä, mutta se on sitten taas opiskelijabudjetille aika kallis.

Tarvitsisin siis salin josta löytyy nostolava/alue jolla saa pudotella painoja, naisten 15kg tangon ja levypainot joita saa pudotella.

Olisiko kellään mitään vinkkejä? Kiitos jo etukäteen avusta!

I lived in Italy for 6 years and now came to Finland.
There are some good cafeterias in Turku, great vibes but I really miss that freshly made cappuccino in small bars around the corner in Italy.
Please suggest if there are some cafeterias that make good cappuccino in Turku centre but also in Mylly mall.
