Iāll be talking about the people I met through my many years associated with Troma. I hope you all enjoy my first post.
I sent this directly to Lloyd Kaufman and other Troma staff for comment a few days ago, but have had no response.
edit: Huh. Funny that u/root88 deleted all his comments defending Troma. I wonder what changed his mind.

Hey fellow Troma fans!
I've been a longtime fan of The Toxic Avenger, particularly the original four films, and lately I've been thinking about something I'd absolutely love to see someday: a live-action Toxic Avenger television series that brings the classic Toxie back to Tromaville!
I've spent some time developing an unofficial fan concept, tentatively titled The Toxic Avenger: A Return to Tromaville, and thought it would be fun to share the general idea and hear what other longtime fans think.
THE CONCEPT
Imagine a series that captures the best elements of the original four films:
The heart, underdog story, and environmental satire of the original Toxic Avenger (1984).
The outrageous comedy, action, and eccentric characters of Part II.
The corporate corruption, moral dilemmas, and personal stakes of Part III.
The wild imagination, absurdity, and practical-effects spectacle of Citizen Toxie.
Rather than reinventing Toxie as a conventional superhero, I'd love to see the lovable, grotesque, mop-wielding monster we remember: socially awkward, occasionally misunderstood, but always trying to do the right thing.
MAKE TROMAVILLE THE HEART OF THE SERIES
One of my favorite aspects of the original movies is Tromaville itself.
I'd love for the town to become almost a character of its own, with recurring locations, familiar faces, corrupt officials, bizarre businesses, shady corporations, and a seemingly endless supply of environmental disasters.
Imagine revisiting Toxie's home life with Sara, the local diner, city hall, industrial facilities, sewers, and all the strange corners of Tromaville.
Most episodes would take place in town, with occasional adventures elsewhere when the story calls for them.
MOSTLY STANDALONE EPISODES
Instead of one complicated storyline stretching across an entire season, I think the series would work especially well with mostly self-contained adventures.
Each episode could introduce a new villain, environmental scandal, bizarre experiment, corporate scheme, or ridiculous Tromaville crisis.
Some episodes could be hilarious and completely outrageous, while others could explore Toxie's compassion, relationships, and struggles with being both a monster and a hero.
Recurring villains and occasional larger storylines could tie everything together without sacrificing the fun of individual adventures.
PRACTICAL EFFECTS FIRST!
For me, one of the most important elements would be preserving the handmade, independent filmmaking spirit of the original movies.
I'd love to see practical creature makeup, prosthetics, slime, exaggerated fight scenes, grotesque transformations, and outrageous physical comedy.
Modern filmmaking techniques could help where necessary, but the series should still feel unmistakably like classic Troma.
AN EXAMPLE EPISODE
One pilot idea I've been playing with involves a suspiciously successful sanitation entrepreneur who promises to make Tromaville the cleanest town in America.
Naturally, his revolutionary cleanup operation turns out to be hiding something much more toxic beneath the surface.
Toxie investigates, corruption is exposed, chaos erupts, and Tromaville ends up in an even bigger mess than before.
Just a fun example of how the series could combine environmental satire, ridiculous villains, practical effects, and Toxie's genuine desire to protect people.
THE HEART OF THE TOXIC AVENGER
Above all, I wouldn't want the series to lose what made Toxie special in the first place.
Underneath all the slime, violence, outrageous comedy, and absurdity, there's a surprisingly lovable character who cares about people.
I think that balance is what could make a classic-style series really enjoyable.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?
I'd genuinely love to hear from other longtime fans!
Would you watch a live-action Toxic Avenger series that continues the spirit of the original four movies?
Would you prefer mostly standalone adventures or a larger ongoing storyline? Which characters, villains, locations, or elements from the films would you most want to see return?
And perhaps most importantly, what do you think a new series would absolutely need to get right to feel like the classic Toxic Avenger?
This is purely an unofficial fan concept, not an announced or affiliated Troma project. I'm just a longtime fan who loves Toxie and thought it would be fun to share the idea with people who appreciate these movies as much as I do.
Long live Toxie! ā¢ļø

I absolutely love the music in this iconic fight scene from Tromaās The Toxic Avenger Part II!
The scene features music associated with āIt Donāt Mean a Thing (If It Aināt Got That Swing)ā / āSalute to American Jazz,ā and Iād love to find the full version of the exact recording used in the film.
Hereās the scene Iām referring to:https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=CEsmwXg3BFM
I know Troma has released vinyl soundtracks for The Toxic Avenger Part II and Part III, but I havenāt been able to confirm whether this particular track is included.
Does anyone recognize this specific recording, know who performed it, or know whether the full track has ever been officially released? Iād love to find a copy to listen to or purchase.
If it has never been released, I also own the DVDs and would appreciate advice on preserving the audio from this scene. Iām not particularly tech-savvy, so would Audacity or another beginner-friendly program be a good option?
Troma, if you happen to see this, please consider releasing the full track! Iād absolutely love to hear this version in its entirety.
Any information, soundtrack credits, or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Urged to share I feel time is up. I want to make this is a safespace for others who have experiences with troma entertainment in nyc. I have lived nightmare in my experience but feeling more confident after speaking with others. Those that were also on set of POPM, Slaughter at Camp Swinelake, having spoken to others about their stories especially about troma producer Andrew Miller I am concerned about how many have experienced trauma on their sets. Lloyd said he would look into it but not sure I noticed Andrew is no longer his assistant. David did intervene once actresses started speaking out about Andrew especially about his on set behavior. The incidents on POPM show a pattern. I believe in safety on sets remember rules of production ? safety to all humans has not been my experience, Women and Trans people need to feel welcomed and safe while filming without fear of sexual harassment or inappropriate comments about their identity. 2026 this can not be happening Troma needs on set training to maintain a safe set. Their producers should be professional I am so disappointed that Lloyd Kaufman allowed him to continue going to sets after POPM.Ā Dont want others to be hurt. speak your truth here.

I'm a freelance writer in San Francisco, and I'm about to publish a story about the making of "Poultrygeist 2" and why the film has not yet been released.
We want to hear from Troma diehards: Tell us why you love Troma movies, what you think the studio and their catalog mean in the current media landscape, and, above all, whether you want to see "Poultrygeist 2" released.
Commenting for this story will mean being cited under your full name. DM this account to find out how to contribute. And thanks for your help.
