Itโs just been sitting here running for a few days now. I thought it was a weird AC4400CW until I looked up the road number. Outside of Forest City, Illinois in the U.S.

My photo of Transport for Wales Class 197/0e unit 197037 crossing Cletwr Bridge near Tre'r-ddรดl (between Dovey Junction and Borth) on Fri 16/10/26, on crew training run 3C02 0922 Machynlleth Carr. Sdgs to Aberystwyth.
Based on Barry Batchelor's photo of year-2000-only Class 170 Cambrian Line operation at this spot during the Central Trains years - it's in a 2013 web article named: A consultation will finish this week over an increase in rail services.
Posted after Class 197/0e Cambrian Coast Line entry-to-service between Machynlleth and Pwllheli on 19/10/26, but before Class 197/0e entry-to-service between Aberystwyth and Shrewsbury (via Machynlleth) on the Cambrian Line, which is due before the end of 2026.
If you like this photo, check out some of my other ones:

On Sunday, 22 February 2026, I boarded the inaugural train to call at Northumberland Park railway station near Newcastle, which is next to the existing Tyne and Wear Metro station of the same name, providing a convenient interchange. The inaugural train was formed of 158817, a Class 158 Express Sprinter diesel multiple unit (DMU), at the front and 156489, a Class 156 Super Sprinter DMU, at the rear. They were operating Northern service 2T05, the 07:54 from Newcastle to Ashington.
The train arrived early at the new station at 08:06 and departed on time at 08:10. The first southbound train called at Northumberland Park at 09:02 on the 08:38 service from Ashington towards Newcastle and Metrocentre.
Northumberland Park is the fifth new station to open on the Northumberland Line.
I enjoyed being on the inaugural service. Here are some photographs I took of the station and the inaugural service, together with a few photographs from the official opening ceremony held the following day, attended by local dignitaries and children from a nearby school.

Polish PKP ED250. Peak speed on our rails is probably 250km/h (more like 160-200). Doesn't the coupler impact the aerodyanmics in some way?

On October the 19th I took a trip to downtown Conroe to Railfan at the diamond where the BNSF Conroe sub meets the UP Palestine Sub! While I was there I didnโt expect to catch a train with a sick horn!
Crazy thing was is that I had AirPods in and I was sitting a bit further away from the tracks than usual however a bit later I heard a train horn eventually a few minutes or so later and I realized it was a P5 or a P3! Forgive me I donโt know the difference between the two! Anyway I didnโt have much time so I hop on my scooter and immediately start headed to W Davis street which is the crossing in the video! Without the scooter I wouldnโt have made it he was going to fast since it was a shorter manifest!
I barely made it but the signals activated before I could start filming if I had gotten there earlier I wouldโve filmed the horn sequence for the other crossings further down they sounded sick as it was also super repetitive!
Sucked I missed it but here you guys go! Barley missed a sick horn but managed to get it!

Front cover of the November 1983 issue of Popular Mechanics (Vol. 160, No. 5). The main feature showcases a concept painting by Ed Valigursky depicting a futuristic California bullet train designed to travel at 165 MPH.
