Football Biff Poggi wants Maryland football coaching job. Here’s his plan.

Football Why exactly did Damon Evans give Locksley the 5 year extension in 2022?
When Mike Locksley signed his 5-year contract extension in 2022, his overall record at Maryland was 12-18 (and 6-17 in Big Ten conference play), following a 7-6 season in 2021 that concluded with a Pinstripe Bowl victory. What the fuck was Evans thinking? Why was the buyout so high? Did Evans fuck Locksley's wife or something?

Football Now Support the Program and the New Coach
Well Locks is finally gone. I know Maryland fans prefer to complain than actually do anything, but if you really want the best coach possible it’s a great time to donate to the Athletic Department. This could be a huge turning point for us, arm Jim to take advantage of it.

Football Maryland coaching candidates: Jake Dickert, Billy Napier among options to replace Mike Locksley
cbssports.com"..Maryland will owe Locksley more than $9 million in buyout money after letting him go.
Maryland is the first Power Four school to fire a coach this season, kicking off what has been a much slower coaching carousel than a year ago.
It'll be Jim Smith's first major hire as Maryland's athletic director after arriving in July 2025. There are other Power Four jobs that could open in the future, including Florida State, but as of Wednesday, Maryland is the best job available."

Football [Bookies.com] Next Maryland Football Head Coach Odds
bookies.comI think Huff is a great coach, but hardly believe he'd leave Memphis so quickly. I personally think my favorite is Jason Eck. He seems like a great coach that does the best with what he has.
Thoughts?

Football Maryland football reached a new low under Michael Locksley in loss to Rutgers
If Maryland football fans hadn’t already reached their limit, Saturday felt like the final straw.
The Terps built a 10-point halftime lead over Rutgers and appeared primed for their first Big Ten win at SECU Stadium since Oct. 19, 2024. But closing out a victory against a fellow conference bottom-feeder proved too much to ask.
Maryland surrendered 24 unanswered points and couldn’t quite rally, losing 37-30. The defeat marked the Terps’ 12th straight loss in conference play, a Big Ten high. It also signified a new low point under Michael Locksley, whose support has dissipated.
“I won’t even get into that,” the eighth-year coach said when asked what he wants his Maryland tenure to be remembered for if Saturday was his last game. “I’m here for these players, [I’m] super convicted. The only thing that I’m concerned about is doing my very best for them until they tell me I can’t. Those players continue to give me their best. I’ll continue giving my best.”
That “best” hasn’t been good enough for years.
Locksley has a 16-47 record in Big Ten play since his latest coaching stint began in 2019. Maryland has a 2-20 conference record since the start of 2024, capped by the ongoing 12-game losing skid.
