About that Slow Horses season finale Spoiler
Man that was some kind of a rug pull at the end huh? Here I thought River was heading for some sort of happy ending and then probably killed by a nerve agent?
But the trailer for the next season was intense, looks like a good one.
Also I did not understand who Taverner implicated in her meeting with the Home Secretary. Was it somebody who was dead?

Harry The Hat and Judge Harold T. Stone are the same person
Hear me out. There are 2 possible scenarios for this.
Harry The Hat goes into witness protection
Harry is a known conman and low level crook in Boston. He gets over his head scamming the wrong guy (Maybe Gary of Gary's Old Towne Tavern's financial backers) and has to get out of Bean Town quick. He makes a deal with the feds but wants to stay on the East Coast. They relocate him to NYC and he quickly slips their control and creates an entire false backstory. Conveniently, Harry T. Stone is an orphan and his only family is an uncle in a mental hospital. Harry manages to build an entire life for himself and should any of the crooks he turned on in Boston show up, he has the entire NY judicial system to back him up.
Harry The Hat is Judge Stone's "vacation"
Judge Stone is a relatively well liked and well respected member of the judiciary in NYC, but after almost getting thrown off the bench for pranks and other frowned upon behavior he decides to make a change. Judge Stone arrives in Boston and employs all the same card tricks, slight of hand and mental games that he does in NYC but can do so with impunity. He creates a false identity as "Harry the Hat" and lives out fantasies of being a con man and a criminal. If he ever gets picked up by the police, he tells them he's a sitting judge and gets out of it because what has he really done? Conned some bar flies out of a few drinks? Harry gets it out of his system and returns to Manhattan knowing he came come back any time he pleases.

What's the most mundane show of your country/area?
There's a vibe of show that every culture makes. That mundane, every day slow roll show that everyone seems to know. Sitcoms and soap operas seem to fall into it the most no matter where it's from.
I find that very interesting. Especially when able to compare what the mundane looks like across the globe. How simular it all is yet different at the same time, y'know? I personally prefer the older ones, finding them to be much slower and more lackluster, for lack of a better word, than more modern ones. It's just so charming, even if it IS a fair bit boring.
I want to watch shows like that from other countries or other areas. Even the difference between a Detroit made show and a Washington made show would be interesting to see. So... if you've got a recommendation for your area or an area you know about I'd love to hear them! Especially if you include a little rating with it, even if you personally hate it.

Thoughts on Superstore Spoiler
People who have watched Superstore, I want to know if anyone else feels similarly. I really enjoyed seasons 1-3, the jokes were funny, the situations were unique and well written. Iâm about halfway through Season 4 and literally every character is like a caricature of themselves: Cheyenne is ultra dumb, like wat more than before, Jonah is extra awkward, Mateo is kind of meaninglessly mean, and oh my god, Garrett! He was always kind of lowkey selfish but whatever, but heâs becoming creepy now. And nothing is even remotely believable given that no one ever works, like ever!

Is it worth it to watch I Love Lucy?
I would love any input on the show I Love Lucy and how it holds up in the current day and age.
I love old movies and frequently watch films from the 40s, 50s, and 60s but have not watched any TV series from those days.
Given the cultural significance of this show, is it worth it to invest my time to watch the show? Is it still funny? Any other show information would be greatly appreciated.
TIA!

Stunt casting
A few days ago I watched the modern family episode that had special guest Terry Bradshaw. Jay was excited that they could be on the same jury and he fans boys out. Then it hit me Terry Bradshaw also made a few appearances on Married with children. Can anyone think of any other shows were the actor/actress team with a guest star from other shows they stared in. On a side note I was really hoping for a tounge and cheek married with children joke on modern family.

Would you watch a sitcom about the people who work on a sitcom?
Imagine a mockumentary-style comedy called Sitcom Secrets, following the cast and crew of a fictional family sitcom.
The actors play a loving family on television, but behind the scenes they're dealing with massive egos, workplace romances, jealous co-stars, terrible scripts, network executives, budget cuts, and the constant fear of being replaced.
The show would combine the awkward workplace humor of The Office, the ensemble dynamics of Abbott Elementary, and the personal relationships and confessionals of Modern Family.
The twist is that the sitcom they're filming is itself a cheesy, old-fashioned family comedy, while the real show follows the absolute chaos happening behind the cameras.
You'd have a veteran actor who thinks he's a Hollywood legend, a brutally sarcastic actress who's tired of being overlooked, a former child star desperately trying to stay relevant, exhausted writers, a director who's given up on his dreams, and a production assistant who knows everyone's secrets.
The comedy would come from the characters and their relationships, with running jokes, awkward silences, escalating workplace disasters, and occasional heartfelt moments.
My question: Would you watch a show like this, and what would you want to see happen behind the scenes?

Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson might be the best casting in the history of television
Itâs easy to say you canât imagine somebody else playing a role, but itâs crazy to think just how different things might have turned out if this guy hadnât been cast purely due to him being an existing cast member of The Tracey Ullman Show, which the original Simpsons shorts aired on.
Crazier to think that it started out as a Walter Matthau impersonation, and morphed into the Homer we know and love.
I gotta say, sometimes I laugh at Homer purely based on Castellanetaâs delivery (in fact, quite a lot). And it pairs so well with the character, not just his design but his actual personality. The one thing that remains equally consistent throughout the years, too, despite the choice quality of the show in general since season 11.
Iâm constantly in awe going back to the Golden Era and hearing his incredible work. Itâs almost like hearing the worldâs greatest Opera singer, only with voice work. Just incredible. And on top of that he voices so many other characters as well. I almost feel like he needs to win a Pulitzer Prize or something. đ
