Good stuff MapQuest. Drinking Eggnog and avoiding Flock Cameras for the holiday season.

Except people report every camera as flock. Which, to be fair, is probably more accurate than not, at its core

To be fair, Flock is primarily the software aggregator that can use any camera for input.

Mapquest beating google maps was not on my 2026 bingo card, but I fully embrace it

Huuh.
There were so many people insisting they were just bandwagoning and how they aren't actually going to try and improve themselves.
Guess they really are trying, eh?

That's cool, but can they work on their maps with regard to public transportation? Practically useless here in Chicago.

I've been using it for months with android auto with no issue. Routes are fine and generally similar to Google maps.

I couldn't get it to show up as an app in my Android auto when I tried it a couple of weeks ago. Guess I'll need to try it again.

I tried it for a couple of weeks until it gave me a wrong destination. To be fair, the customer said that the apps often mess up his address, but that day Google did not. My job is driving to people’s houses at a set appointment time so I can’t really afford for it to be wrong.

This is how you win back users from Google.
