That was no bug. Meta wants training data. 22 years of living with Facebook/Meta has proven that Zuckerberg has zero morals and will monitor everyone as intensively as he legally can.

“Legal” is however much the fines cost him, he’ll never go to prison for what Meta does.

It’s only illegal if you get caught and it gets enforced

Only when he loses his influence.

People would turn their privacy settings to maximum, only to find that those settings had all been turned off again.

Facebook always said it was a “bug”

And yet the bug always turned the privacy settings off. It never turned them on.

Funny, that.

Tells you a lot about Facebook.

So I’m not surprised about this, not in the slightest.

"Bug."

This is what the perv glasses are for, spying on you so they can sell you shit.

Well, it was a bug. The secretly collected recordings were not supposed to be visible to users in the conversation history. That bug has been fixed; they'll go straight to Meta without the users knowing from now on.

It's not a bug. It's a feature.

“Bug”. Sure. It’s Facebook, folks - you’re naive if you don’t assume guilty until proven innocent with the psychos at that company.

Some Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses were recording people’s conversations without the wearer knowing. The recordings occurred without users saying the prompt phrase (“Hey, Meta”), in a bug that Meta says has been fixed.

Yeah, it was a bug, in the surveillance sense. It still is.

No fucking way it’s a bug. I work in software engineering and at a company as big as meta you wouldn’t ship a product with a blatant bug like that

Especially in the age of AI debugging. This would have been flagged in ten minutes.

Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses feature operates as intended.

The biggest fear about these spy glasses is that they exist at all.

Oh no, my spy glasses are spying on me, who could have seen that coming?!?!

Why would people think they have any privacy when they're wearing the super secure pervert glasses?
