Clearing out some old things and found this Symbian OS bag (used to work for them). Thought someone here might be interested in seeing it.

My latest collection - not included from my home town ( I think at least 12-14). I'm still looking for a Nokia N-Gage, the big one. One more Nokia N-Gage with orange keypad and Nokia E71 are coming next week. I started to collect less than 3 months ago. Couldn't wait for my collection to grow 😅😎

Browmote is a vibe-coded project that brings modern browsing functionality to Symbian (S^3 or higher) made by me. It connects to the proxy server (self-hosted by the user) and renders the actual browser at the server using puppeteer.

The app supports:

• Trackpad mode
• Downloads/Uploads
• Sound
• Microphone
• Zoom
• End to End encryption

More features like gestures and video mode (sending a video as a live RTSP stream to the device) will be added later

Mine currently powers on and displays its IMEI, but it doesn't detect SIM cards, so I'd appreciate any advice from someone familiar with this model.

I recently found this subreddit, and I have a Nokia E5 that I'd really like to put to some use. It was my favorite phone back when I had it. What can I do? I've been having some issues with WiFi. For some reason, it would read my network, connect to it, but keep asking me every time I try to do something.

I also like building and vibecoding. I was thinking about making note-taking apps for it, since I haven't seen anybody in that space create for old platforms like Symbian.

I'd appreciate any resources that'd breathe some life into this cool piece of tech. Send whatever you have!

I still have my 5700 XpressMusic, and I missed it enough to make my Android phone feel like it again.

Same menus, same icons, the original themes, the music player, even the little clock on the standby screen.

It's not real Symbian, it's Android underneath.

Hello everyone. For the past two days i've made myself miserable trying to solve all the issues alone. So please read this and help/forward this message to anyone who knows or cares enough about symbian and it's future.

We're currently working on a Linux port for most, if not all, rapuyama-based phones. The thing i can't figure for the life of me are the random resets ranging from ~50 s to 220 s. I've already tried everything i could and didn't get a single good result. So in this dire moment, when we can already boot in linux and even display an image using a custom-written VideoCore driver, i ask for your help:

Entiendo que algunas direcciones de correo no funcionan, como Gmail, porque los protocolos de seguridad ya no pueden ser traducidos por el dispositivo, y por lo que ví existía una "manera" usando la dirección de hotmail u outlook por medio de un código de 16 carácteres pero me llevó a nada. También he probado con correos super antiguos como AOL Mail, Yahoo Mail e incluso GMX Mail con la esperanza de que alguno aún usara IMAP o POP3 y ninguno resultó.

¿Saben de algún método o podrían confirmarme si el de la contraseña de aplicación de los 16 carácteres aún funciona?
