I'm finally playing through the expansion content, and I got to Desperate Defiance. The change to the VA for the male Agent was pretty jarring. I don't know if it's similar for other classes as this is my first time through the later content.

My boy used to be intense, but also held his cards to his chest, waited to make a decision until he had as much information as possible, and once he made a choice he went after it 100%. Now it sounds like he's been hanging out with the Jedi Knight and makes quick orders with a talent for leadership.

Small, random idea. I was going back and listening to the youtube compilations where they put all the companion planetary ambient dialogue for each class into a video so you can hear all of them

There are so, so many that you miss because they’re extremely niche areas, because they don’t play when you’re in a speeder and only play on specific location entries so you can’t even go back, and so many that you miss because you can only have one companion with you

They’re not very specific either, but there are a lot! Just about lava, just about a corrupt person being in charge, something they’ve noticed about the sith, a jedi hypocrisy, something about holocrons, something about “the destruction is so bad here”. About everything you can think of. “It’s hot”. “I’d rather not be here” but always custom to the companion

There are so many that they could easily be reused many more times over in the expansion planets. Someone could just play these youtube videos and hit pause every time they think of another spot in the expansion content it could go and then drop it in.

I saw someone on the sub saying they wish companions still had dialogue in expacs and I was thinking “waste of time and money, and they’re almost never there anyway story wise”

But this really wouldn’t be much of a hassle. Wouldn’t really matter either. Just something that could be done without much struggle I assume. But again, doesn’t really matter

You might have seen my sith art from a bit ago, well, here’s my jedi! He’s my light-side knight who remains firmly light side until the events of KOTFE and then goes dark after that…mostly because of a certain Sith Warrior. Does anyone else make their toons have relationships with each other?

The tutorial for companions has the old image, and it makes me wonder how many changes happened while I was gone, and how many did not get updated correctly.

Pick your favorite storyline! Jedi Under Siege is the storyline that takes place on Ossus, reintroducing us to the Republic VS Empire plot. Republic players work with Tau and Gnost-Dural to evacuate the Jedi refugees, along with reuniting with Doc and Nadia! Empire characters work with Anri and Malgus to stop the Jedi from escaping, also reuniting with Jaesa and Khem! This story also introduced the "saboteur" path, which, while having mixed results down the road, was a unique and cool idea.

Then of course, Strike of the Desolator is Chapter 1 of the Knight's story. Stopping Angral's minions from using the stolen secret projects the Republic had been working on.

I still see very frequently people misunderstanding Ventures and treating it as if they are now the default game experience (which is now gonna be called Full Campaign).

Ventures is a challenge mode, like how OSRS has Ironman Mode or WoW has Hardcore. It is its own separated environment with its own perks and restrictions.

Ventures characters are locked to specific difficulties and have restricted content availability (Classic is just the base game story at Veteran, Expert has access to the expansions and is locked at Master).

The difficulty toggle that is coming alongside the Venture system is an independent core system to the game.

You will be able to select your preferred Open World difficulty at any moment the same way you switch to Open World PvP. This option is not available for Venture characters who are locked to their respective difficulty at character creation.

Currently, there is no information if changing the difficulty will affect rewards or loot drop chances.

There is also no information if benefits from the Venture system, such as the new consumables and gear, will affect the Full Campaign experience.

Any player will get access to the difficulty toggle while Ventures are a subscriber perk (the same way access to Operations is currently). You cannot create or log in existing Venture characters without an active subscription.

You will be able to opt-out of the Venture system with existing characters, but it’s a permanent decision. You’ll retain your progress for that origin story, but you’ll make a new Venture Character in order to progress on that specific Class venture.

After "nicely" asking my sit back I was once again being called Darth Occlus, and oh boi how I missed it, but in the last expansion, Rivik in particular went back to calling me Commander instead of Occlus. I wonder why he did it, if it's a bug or if once again I won't be hearing my Darth name

Hello everyone, I'm a New Player, never played it before and I come from other MMO's, which comes to my question, I love burst damage and classes that are good in dealing it both PvE and PvP.

Not saying they must be the best on both but at least viable and now I'm stuck deciding between Carnage and Rage, could you please help me pointing their diferences and strength and which one is at it's best at the moment in the damage output side of things?

At the very least, I think that there should be a vendor somewhere that sells full sets of level 65, 75, and level 80 gear as opposed to the current system where if you reach level 65 and 75 early and want to gear up before going further, you basically have no way to get a proper set of gear for credits or in the case of level 75, you can't even mod for it. And no, I don't think spoils of war vendor counts since it sells randomized level 75 gear instead of just having a complete set with pre-determined stats. Something like the gear vendor on Ossus would be sufficient. I don't expect this change to come with 8.0, but it would be nice to have in a future update.

Not to mention, this will be a great thing for preferred players.
