Hello! My swede girlfriend and I are sending each other candy from our countries to both try — she’s sending me Swedish candy and I’m sending her American candy!

I’m really excited, however, I don’t actually know which candy is American specific… I don’t want to accidentally give her something she’s likely had before. Can I have some help knowing what candy sold in the US isn’t sold in Sweden? Thank you!

This is a photo of my great grandfather. He was a farmer in northern Sweden from what i understand. I am trying to identify this jacket, maybe find a vintage example, or a sewing pattern. Does anyone recognize this?

Hello. I am a Spanish amateur writer and am currently working on a horror story (for a free, open-source text-adventure game) set in Sápmi, Sweden. I posted this request a month ago on r/sweden, but since I couldn’t find what I was looking for there, I’m trying again here.

I’m wondering if there’s anyone on this forum who has a Sámi background and is familiar with Sámi culture (specifically Sámi people from Lapland in Sweden, around the city of Kiruna, although any person with Sámi background could help). The reason is that I’d really like to have someone to turn to for cultural questions, so I can portray the Sámi characters in my story as respectfully and authentically as possible.

The project will be free (an open-source text-based adventure), but if you think it’s reasonable for me to pay for your work, I’m willing to do so.

Jag har satt ihop en spellista som jag har döpt till Svenskt Vemod. Tanken är att samla den där speciella, lite melankoliska men vackra stämningen som bara svensk musik kan få till.

Just nu har jag med artister som Kent, Lars Winnerbäck, Håkan Hellström och Victor Leksell, blandat med lite mindre och större guldkorn. Perfekt musik nu när mörkret börjar smyga sig på.
