Other My sister also loves superstore
My 18y/o half sister reached out and wanted to get to know me (33f) and my kids. She is visiting me for a few days. It has been fun with minimal awkwardness so far, but as you can imagine, with the agee gap not a whole lot in common. We are winding down for the evening and I told her to pick something to watch. Turns out we are both huge fans of Superstore so we are watching the first episode while discussing all of our favourite bits!
Can't wait to find out what else we have in common.

Discussion I love napping with Superstore playing.
I stumbled on Superstore this year. I'm so late.
It's such a perfect, chill, low-stakes, relaxing show.
I've seen season 1 all the way but only a few episodes of season 2-5 because I keep falling asleep.
I'm not a fall asleep to TV person but something about the show in the best way puts me to sleep.
I'll wake up only to hit "I'm still watching" on my phone.
Anyone know of a similar show out there now?

Discussion Minor plot inconsistency: How Jonah was hired
I started watching the show ~2 months ago, and I’ve finally reached the last season! I absolutely love, love, LOVE this show. It’s easily one of my favorite sitcoms of all time, probably my 2nd favorite.
One thing that surprised me tho is that I didn’t notice any plot inconsistencies until the final season. I’m usually pretty quick to pick up on these things, often by Season 2 of the shows I am watching, so this one caught me off guard.
In S1E1, we see Dina interviewing Jonah and hiring him. But in the final episode of the series, when they show the interview clips, it’s Glenn who interviews and hires him instead. It’s a pretty minor inconsistency, but still.
What other plot holes or inconsistencies in Superstore have you noticed that I might have missed?

Discussion In your opinion what was Amy's biggest mistake through the show?
I think it was going overboard time and time again like with hazing Jonah or the social media thing where she tried to best Kelly.

Turned my husband into Glenn today…
We live near two popular apple orchards and I bought two gallon jugs of apple cider for relatives today. We had a small bottle in the freezer for us already.
My husband was about to open a gallon and I let him know they’re spoken for. He goes, “Both?!”
Yes both but there’s a smaller one in the freezer for you.
That’s too much juice, honey.

Season 2 Black Friday
This is one of my favourite episodes. Especially because Brett has had enough and Jonah is able to extract an action from him 😅😂😂

What’s a scene that makes you cringe
For me? There’s loads but one that stands out is Carol saying to Glenn “now do it in the daddy voice” and she’s like “thank you daddy”. Makes me wanna suck my eyes out with a hoover and fill my ears with cement.
I’m not kink shaming but it’s Carol and Glenn 🤢🤢

What is the episode you always skip??
I cringe too much during Emma’s quinceañera and have to skip it now 🫣
