Mod Post. Community Update: Random Battles Are Moving to Weekends
Hey everyone!
After discussing community feedback and reviewing the direction of the subreddit, the mod team has decided to try a 30-day experiment.
For the next 30 days, Random Battle posts will only be allowed on Saturdays and Sundays.
The goal isn't to get rid of Random Battles—they're a fun part of the community. Instead, we want to create more room during the week for other great superhero content, including:
Comic discussions
Movies & TV shows
Character deep dives
Fan art & cosplay
News and rumors
Questions, recommendations, and original content
After the 30 days, we'll review how the experiment went, look at the data, and listen to your feedback before deciding on the next steps.
We're always looking for ways to make r/superheroes the best place on Reddit for superhero fans. Thanks for being part of the community, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Marvel Storm is canonically one of the most beautiful women in marvel comics. How is there no in-universe commentary on her having hook ups with Wolverine of all people?

DC Comics Weird opinion: Poison Ivy feels more like a Superman villain than a Batman villain.
Batman generally deals with horror movie killers, gimmicky crime bosses, master assassins, and the occasional weird fiction low end sci-fi threat. He deals with themes of corruption, psychological issues, and addressing those unconscious topics everyone wants to sweep under the rug, in a noir culturally stratified city of fallen grandure.
Superman generally deals with high concept pulp fiction sci-fi threats, representations of larger societal issues, and powerful cosmological entities. He deals with themes of humanism, optimism in the face of overwhelming despair, and what everyday people can do to make a difference in the almost utopian city of tomorrow.
Now, who seems like a match for a scientifically created plant goddess, who uses her powers granted by the extra-dimentional conceptual embodiment of all plant life to commit echo terrorism against companies that pollute the environment

Marvel Part 1 of pitching series for different Superheroes; Deadpool
Deadpool; The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly would be a 2D animated pseudo-anthology about the life of Wade Winston Wilson, beginning with his hazy, troubled childhood and ending with his daughter, Ellie, joining him as the second Deadpool.
Each episode would be a different period of his life, and would show a different adventure/mission, but would also display and play with the emotions and turmoil he would be experiencing at the time. It would be a deep dive into the psyche of the character of Wade Wilson, discussing themes of mental health, suicide, heroism, addiction, self-worth, grief, justice, death, and more.
Aesthetically and somewhat thematically it would be similar to the comic of the same name, but it would mostly pull its stories and characterization from Joe Kelly.
It would feature characters like Rogue, Domino, Captain America, Taskmaster, Wolverine, Hydra Bob, Cable, Black Widow, Carmelita, Mystique, Typhoid Mary, etc. and would explore Wade’s desire to be a hero like his idol Cap, and how that dream was beaten down and deformed by his own harsh reality.
I’ve would never address the audience or camera directly, nor would he do any kind of narration. His personality and 4th wall breaks would be based on that of 90’s era Deadpool. The story would also be devoid of more fantastical elements, though Lady Death would likely appear more than once.
It would be tailored to an adult audience, but because of the violent, sexual, and emotional content rather than because of the humor or references.
Lastly, it would have a soundtrack comprised of a mix of indie, rock, hiphop, jazz, traditional, and grunge elements.
Did you like this? Who should I do next?
