I've been building this series since 2018, mixing different styles and references. These are some of my favorites from the Carnaval of Belo Horizonte.

On Wednesday, I left home to buy a Sony \alpha6700, but I couldn't get it because we couldn't reach an agreement with the camera shop. Honestly, I was a bit sad. I had examined the \alpha6700, and it was really nice; it had a colorful new menu. So, I took these shots with my \alpha6500 and Sigma 30mm f/1.4.

Since moving to Sydney from the UK, I've been doing lots of work with my camera, primarily to build my Instagram - cinematic video, putting together location guides, pov reels of certain spots to take unique photos of the classic landmarks.
As successful as it's been, it has temporarily taken from me the joy in shooting, because of how intensive that work is to produce and publish. The photography becomes only a by-product of the content.
So yesterday, I swapped the 18-50mm for the Sigma 30mm, bought a new wrist strap for my Sony A6700, shot only when I saw a good photo opportunity and made minimal edits in Lightroom.
All in all a simpler, more efficient workflow that helped me focus only on looking for opportunities and thereby injected the fun again in street photography. Will be making this a regular habit.
