Celebrate AC 3 Remastered done (finally)

Post image
• Upvotes

AC 3 is still a great game, a lot of fun and some really annoying achievements, mainly waiting and waiting for your residents to do some specific tasks and retrying some missions a lot to get all optional objectives. Liberation was quite short in comparison but not having fast travel made traversal of the bayou to get all collectibles a bit of a chore. Overall I enjoyed both games a lot, I still really enjoyed connor and the setting. Onto rogue next.

Btw, I´d recommend doing most of the side content and collectibles alongside the story, because its quite a lot. Doing it with several breaks or story missions in between feels a lot better.

Need Assistance The new update for Steam achievements had a lot of missteps and a lot of things should be reverted

People here only wanted one thing only: separate achievements sets. Nothing more. The system was fine. The UI was also fine, never saw someone complain about it. I honestly just hope it's placeholders for the beta because this looks awful.

  • The removal of the blue ribbon in library is a massive downgrade. You can't distinguish now between completed games and other games.
  • The showcase looks way awful now. The old ribbon was very unique.
  • I don't know the reason for "Achievements in Perfect Games" removal
  • Why remove "Perfect Games"?
  • IF "Games & Groups Completed" is the new thing, expect a lot of slop in store with 5000 achievements sets. Congrats! You now have 5000 "Games & Groups Completed"
  • "Avd. Game Completion Rate" need to get back. If you don't like it, others care about it.
  • Expect some massive FOMO achievements if this thing stays. XBOX tried doing it before and people hated it and was removed later on.

A lot of people are afraid to criticise the new changes. There is nothing that needed changes. The UI was completely fine. The only and I mean ONLY thing that needed change was achievements sets: Base game and DLCs. Nothing more.

Bro, I do not care about “groups” completed, I like it showing my perfected games…

100%ing the game is getting everything, dlc included…I don’t want 3 “completed” games from 1 game. Please god change this please please please, this is so off-putting.

Mockup of Steam Trophy with the Yellow Added

I know a lot of people have been saying that the Badge/Trophy should have the yellow color added back to it, so I came up with this rough mockup in GIMP.

The Right Trophy is the exact SVG shape and color gradient as pulled directly from Steam's website using Inspect Element.

The Yellow used is the same yellow as the center of the current/old 100% achievements badge but it gradients down the same amount of change as the blue that steam is using in the new trophy (top blue is #1A9FFF, bottom blue is #1465CF).

I also made slight alterations to the blue pillars in the svg, I assume Steam/Valve was going for the left and right being mirrors of each other but as you can see they are not the same shape.

Image 1 mirrors the left pillar onto the right side, and Image 2 mirrors the right pillar onto the left side. In both images, the Original Steam Trophy is left untouched and is Stock to how it is on the website.

Took me a long time but I'm pretty happy with my collection. It's a decent mix of AAA, Indie, and various genres. Any suggestions for the next game?

Valor Mortis 100% complete.

One more until my first 10 perfect games milestone, or should I say completed games now lol.

I gotta make #10 count. What should I go for next? I feel like 10 should be a really good one.

Drop your suggestions below.

Petition to bring back the old completionist showcase

I don’t think much needs to be elaborated but the new showcase is way too minimalist; it just feels like a major downgrade and I miss the blue ribbon / banner that would make it pop as shown in the image.

I’m asking all of you to please leave feedback this is a beta so valve is actively looking and will be updating this with all of our feedback in consideration.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla would never recommend this even to my lifelong enemies

Post image

What a wasted potential; as a Viking RPG, it's okay with lots of bloated collectibles and a weak story at the end, but as an AC game, I would never recommend this. Can't complete some of the fights because of crashes if fps>60. I had 33 crashes in the whole 184 hours.

Need Assistance New Steam Achievements Question

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

Just saw the new steam achievements in my profile and was wondering what are these groups? It is something like Playstation Trophys where the main game is seperated from the DLCs and if that's the case do we get one Achievement Badge for the main game and one for each group? I saw that Powerwash Simulator 1 has one group for each DLC they have, but other games with DLCs don't have that. So the developer has to create those groups right?

Metal gear Master collection volume 1

What a series, completed these over the last handful of weeks. Completed MGS1 last.. Here are my rating..

MG1 + MG2, very easy found the second one very fun and a good time 2/10 difficulty for 100%

MGS1 Not too bad the big boss fun is very easy you can just do the game on the Japanese version and its on easy by default. The VR missions is what took me 75% of the time and some are very annoying. 4/10 difficulty for 100%

MGS2 I touched on another post but the big boss run is very hard and takes alot of time. 8/10 Difficulty for 100%

MGS3 Easy just required me to play the game 3 times. The Big boss run was not anywhere near as bad as mgs2 4/10 difficulty for 100%

Now that I'm done with the collection I'm not sure what game I will go for next. Any suggestions?

Need Assistance Wanting to start 100% Souls-Like

May not be the best sub for this question, but which of these titles are ACTUALLY considered souls-like? Obviously, Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Sekiro and such are souls/souls-like titles but some of these other titles I have questions. I know the Steam Tags can be straight up inaccurate, but which of these titles are the true souls/souls-like titles.

Also, yes, there are some big hitters I'm missing, this is what I own currently

Wasn't expecting this game to be as good as it was especially being an adaptation. Not the most polished game but definitely recommend 7/10

This is such a cool game!! The music and art design are very beautiful, and the platforming feels very smooth. I played an hour or two a couple of months ago and ended up dropping it until last week, when I decided to try it out again. I'm so glad that I came back, it was such a great experience. I'm going to play some more relaxing games for a while, chapter 7 and 8 b/c sides and chapter 9 were way too stressful lol.
