All killer no filler on this album. No idea why this isn't better known.

I've just recently started getting into soul. I would love to get some recommendations if people have any. Below are the names that have drawn me most so far. I'm not sure if there's any coherency in terms of where and when they've arrived, but I think I gravitate to the rawer less polished 'early' soul? I also like a bit of funk in there I think, or at least strong groove. Would love it if anyone has any recommendations based on the kind of stuff I've been connecting with so far.

The title of this song is “You Stayed Anyway.” 🤍

For the nights when you don’t have the words to pray, but God is still there.

Listen to the full song on Grace After Hours.

Does anybody know the lyrics of My Secret Fantasy by The Controllers? I can’t find them anywhere.

Did you know?

‘I Feel Love’ was initially issued as the b-side to ‘Can’t We Just Sit Down (and talk it over)’. After it took off, the sides were flipped and it was reissued. This example is from the Japanese releases….
