Man if only this Team can return to Modern Sonic and the SEGA would allow it. At least let them return in a tv show.

SONIC UPRISING 

A fan made concept for the 35th anniversary game, note this list is stuff I WANT to see, it's not meant to be what others want

Anyways sonic uprising would be a soft reboot/sequel to the franchise 

The gameplay would be a bit close up to sonic when walking/running in hub worlds, similar to unleashed or many over the shoulder games like spider man or jedi falling order 

Eggman and starline would be after/fighting six ancient scrolls that when found, could give the user godlike powers

Enter sonic the hedgehog, a 18 year old brown hedgehog who's said to be a traveler, going from place to place for a few days, help those in need, and WOOSH! gone like the wind

The town he lives in is overuled by Dr ivo kinotobor or by his nickname to sonic….Dr robotnik

Adventure calls to him when a army of egg pawns is taking mobians hostage 

Sonic saves them but realizes it's not safe for him to stay 

The rest plays it straight, he meets and rescue tails and later amy who in here is younger and looks up to sonic as a fan/role model 

Sonic tails and Amy steal one of robotnik ships and tails managed to show his genius via hacking the aircraft 

They eventually find out starling is making something called project uprising and is experimenting on humans/mobians

They find one of his labs and sonic reaches to a room where a status tank looks like it's been shattered….two in fact 

The water also isn't safe to touch as one slip will SHOCK YOU 

More badniks come in and sonic races to the aircraft 

From here the story will slowly focus on gameplay/adventure with some lore building 

Art style i want something eye catching and stylized, idw is beautiful but I was thinking if they tried something like spider verse, that's something we NEED To see

Eventually they stop at a small town Where the leader, lanlion the sheep doesn't know weather sonic is a spy for robotnik or an ally, no time sadly as humanoid drones called swatbots invade the town

You rescue everyone and lanlion now knows he's on the right path

She decides to go along with him and brings with her tangle and whisper

Lanlion over the course of the game would slowly take on a leader type role, though the stress causes her to loose sleep

Side note: the main hub is a huge Eggman aircraft tails modified called the x-tornado 

Here players can relax and talk to characters without the need of memory tokens, you can even watch mini side objectives 

Simply go up to a character, talk, they explain their problem and sonic and decided to do it or not

Back to the game, we enter a starline controlled city, he was the one behind the swatbots and scattered hub maps will be swatbot produce machines that you can destroy 

Once you reach the top you see a green tenric and a male fennec hooked up to machines 

Sonic freestyle them as they have no memory of who they were, the talk went on for a minute until the girl knows only one thing she was program to do, kill sonic

A boss fight ensues with you having to dodge her electricity powers and quick time her

Boss ends with you getting defeated and the girl and boy escaping 

Tails noticed sonic is giving of a tiny electric charge and bits of his fur is light blue, the next few missions has sonic completing more story objectives and side missions and learning more about the mysterious girl and boy

You meet the girl and boy again, who now call themselves surge and kit

A major cinematic boss ensues ( I'm thinking spidey ps4 Mr negative levels of epicness) surge using her electricity to lift up objects and you having to dodge them

Racing you like in sonic gens metal and shadow bosses

Eventually it ends in a lake as sonic masters all the power he has to at least hold her for a second 

Sonic doesn't consider himself a traditional hero but he does believe in freedom for him and especially others and gave surge a wake up call

She's no longer a puppet, but sadly she doesn't listen as she claims…..she can't and climbs on sonic and chokes him, trying to drown him in water 

But something happens and she passes out, kit worried now sees team sonic as a threat and both disappear 

The team rushes over to sonic who now has dark blue fur and an energy charge

Next missions are more light hearted and calm, though sonic is out of commission for a few levels and we instead can automatically choose tails, amy, tangle and whisper via aircraft 

Eventually you gain control of sonic again as we nearly reach the end ( about 1 hours left)

You reach starline lab where you run into surge and kit who look brain dead and emotionless 

Another boss with the two ensues but this time you can switch characters batman arkham knight style

You literally beat some sense into them as they gain control, starline freaks out, acting like Dr Frankenstein if his own creation turned against on him and tried to kill him

Surge still goes along with her mission but amy stands in the way, giving her a pep talk

Surge thinks….and now knows what she really needs to do, but starline is gone, the ground shakes as a massive robotic hand causes the floor to collapse as starline is in a silver sonic shaped mech suit

Surge wants payback and goes after him

What we get is a EPIC boss fight, think doc ock from spidey ps4

A epic but tragic and emotional scene, surge has floating memories of starline caring for her like a father 

But it was all lie, you defeat him and we have emotional but tragic moment of surge and kit breaking down

She was about to kill him and sonic was about to stop her until the mech has a 5 minute countdown 

We get a epic race as you and everyone rushes to leave, once you get out you see his base crumbling 

Kit now knows they're forever monsters created by a mad scientist, amy gives another pep talk saying if they come with them

They can essentially turned that around, surge ask what do they get out of it, with sonic giving her a hand up saying people will like them instead of fearing them

Surge hesitate but blindly agrees

We cut to green hill zone as we see surge sitting in a field of flowers and sonic doing something he hasn't done in a while…stop….and slowing down ( aka sleeping) as everyone finally enjoys some piece and quiet 

End of story 

The aftermath begins in green hill as your job is far from done

You can replay story missions 

Travel to swatbot producing machines 

Save mobians

Side missions 

Mini games

Collect comics and read them

unlock skins

And travel back to various locations 

Aaaand….that's it, i know I probably didn't expand on certain characters like I should of

I plan on doing that next time

The name is a double entender both a reference to the Sega Genesis which Sonic first appeared on, and the biblical story of Genesis which is about the creation of the world which makes sense as this story is about to the origin of Sonic the hedgehog

This is an idea i came up with when thinking what i would have done if making the plot of a sonic movie and realized it could translate well to a reboot

So in the world of this reboot exists a set of islands, called the mobius isles. home to the chaos emeralds, which have resulted in heightened evaluation, in particular on the wildlife of the islands. resulting in said animals evolving human level intelligence, and anthropomorphic bodies. These dubbed as mobians after the isle's name, the isles have 5 islands those being south island ((a tropical island)) Westside Island ((a desert island)) northstar island ((a cold tundra island)) eastern Island ((a volcanic Island)) and angel Island ((of course similar to main Canon that one is in the sky because of chaos and the Master emerald and also a hodgepodge of biomes ))

Among these islands are Nicky, a regular brown hedgehog, Miles Prower his best friend who originally lived on westside, but moved to south Island to escape bullying from his twin tails ((which didn't work but he did find a friend in Nicky and eventually in the story discovers the fact that he can use his twin tails to fly unlocking that ability in gameplay)) and Amy rose: a hedgehog from northern Island who is very blunt when it comes to her feelings

Meanwhile on what I will call the mainland starlight City exists a highly advanced dystopia hidden as a Utopia, basically ran by the company botnik industries owned by one: Dr Ivo Robotnik. A brilliant man who craves power. He had essentially taken over the city by buying out every company and making better versions of companies that wouldn't sell, pond discovering that the chaos emeralds exist he decides to try and take them in order to expand his reach globally.

This results in him mounting an invasion with his robotic forces on the Mobius isles. along with that he also Powers his machines with living beings, which has his robots have a secondary objective of capturing mobians to be turned into fuel.

On his initial attack on Nicky and tails village the two end up escaping to a cave to seek a hiding place where nicky finds the blue chaos emerald, which upon Him grabbing gifts him the power of super speed and turns his previously Brown quills a brilliant blue, thanks to his newfound speed Nicky dubs himself Sonic the hedgehog. with this power he and tails go save their village before discovering that these forces are going after the entire Island, and are after the rest of the Chaos emeralds. They take an emerald radar from one of the robots and make it their mission to collect all seven before the robots can and keep it out of their hands. After Sonic stoped the attack on his village Robotnik became fascinated and made the capture of the hedgehog a top priority

Along the way the group end up meeting Amy who joins the group taking a discarded Hammer from a badnik to fight, eventually they end up with six of seven Chaos emeralds but discover that Robotnik already has one and has taken it back to starlight City, causing the group to have to leave the isles to starlight city to take it from him, where robotnik finally captures them since he now has home turf advantage and using sonics quill creates metal sonic. Sonic & Co managed to escape leading to Sonic and metal fighting before Sonic wins, well they fight Tails hacks into Robotnik system, and broadcasts all across the city the truth of what Robotnik is doing, destroying his reputation. causing robotnik to bring out his final weapon the death egg robot in a boss fight you are designed to lose, after your loss and seeming death of Sonic the grief of his friends triggers the chaos emeralds on him to react turning him to super sonic are you then get a boss fight which has the same attack as the one for designed to lose but now you're invincible and you destroy the death egg robot, after it's destruction Sonic passes out from all the stress causing the chaos emeralds to scatter away from him and robotnik is taken away by the authorities, in the wake of the innovation on the islands the mainland decides to aid the mobians in reconstruction along with giving them all a temporary home in starlight City, and Sonic Tails and Amy are hailed as heroes for having taken down robotnik

In a post-credit scene it would reveal that metal Sonic had a self repair program and months later has fully repaired with a single objective "DESTROY SONIC THE HEDGEHOG" to set up a potential sequel

Gameplay wise I imagine it would work similarly to the classic games although I would take a certain aspect from the game freedom planet 2 where in between levels occasionally you have a hub world which would take the form of various villages you saved and starlight City where you can talk to various characters and get their thoughts on the events of the story, in these areas you can meet various other Sonic characters and characters made for this reboot
