These are my baby giant African land snails (Lissachatina fulica) and they are absolutely ravenous!

The first photo shows the food I put in their enclosure three days ago, and the second photo shows what was left three days later. They certainly don’t mess around when it comes to eating lol.

The last photo shows what I’ve just fed them: sweet potato, courgette, little gem lettuce, collard greens, apple, nettle leaf, and fresh cuttle bone.

I like to spoil them :)

I started out wanting to draw hands holding something, decided on a snail, and then I tried to cheat the “hands are hard to draw” thing by hiding most of the fingers under the snail…I think I actually made it harder for myself because of the perspective I tried to do lol (I don’t draw much at all, let alone hands. I have been humbled by the attempt).

The snail turned out decent enough though that I thought they’d be appreciated here c: (that’s not like a hole in their face or something, btw. I tried to do a highlight to show depth since shading is pretty hard with scratch art).

Discovered some of my snails eggs have hatched and I wanted a photo of the hatchling with his egg shell ... He bit me.

He was hanging out in the same spot overnight and didn't want to go to his cucumber, which i swear he loved it the day before. I cleaned his house today and decided to give him lettuce for today since he's had cucumber the last 2 mornings. Instantly got some pep in his step and woke up and ran (his equivalent of running) to the lettuce. Its funny how they seem to have their favorites. 🥬🐌

He does have both eyes don't worry. this is the first time I see him sleeping like this with one eye out tho 😭😭😭

I have two grove snails and they’re starting to get this dark band. Is this their lip forming? And does this mean they’re mature?

They’re not very big but I suppose snails vary in size. My understanding is that once their lip forms they’re done growing. (?)

I know they have to be euthanized bc I can't possibly care for them all but I feel so guilty 😭😭😭😭

Both my snails are starting to have that dark band across their lip does that mean they’re maturing? I thought they’d get bigger low so I’m just curious! Love my silly guys can’t believe they’ve grown so much.

Some context, she mated 15 days ago and mated again within that time. Don’t come after me bc I know everyone says its impossible to tell if cornu aspersum are pregnant but I just wanna make sure shes okay 😭 She has only eaten cuttlebone for the last 3 days and a bit of sweet potato, this morning her genital area was very noticeable/swollen and her mantle also seems to be swollen. I have given her the best conditions I can for laying and will leave her alone, Is it a possible health issue or should I be expecting eggs soon? Thanks

Found a bunch of these round-shelled garden snails one morning while on a walk

I’ve had a snail terrarium for many years and hundred of snails from my first three. Lately they have been dying a lot and now I only have 6 (two babies survived the last clutch). I had a bunch of fake plants in and plastic toys that I took out. Now it’s just a potato and carrot shoots. Does anyone have any idea of what is wrong? Lots of springtails. The soil is very wet. The tank has a mesh top. Do you think there is low humidity?
