I was playing Sleeping Dogs, it was running fine for the last two days but today I've been getting crashes for like 5-6 times now. Then followed by BSOD after each crash. The game would freeze, then I would kill it from Task Manager, I would immediately get Kernel Security Check Failure and I had to restart the PC manually. Never had any error like this with other games but this game is killing me 😮‍💨

All in the title, don't want to rebuy the same game (even if it's dirt cheap) just for a mod.

I randomly thought of this game and joined the sub.. started scrolling through a bunch of posts and came across a mentioning of Triad Wars. I used to record a bunch of videos of myself playing games just for the sake of preservation and enjoyment. I have more of these videos unlisted.

I don't fully recall everything but I vaguely recall at lower levels, you'd either have to fist fight enemies or be lean on ammo to take them out. Essentially there was a system to raid other players and a successful raid meant you earned "face"/cash/currency to then level up everything you have. A player's base would be slightly different depending on their level and so the layout would be more or less elaborate. Usually lower level bases meant enemies would fight without weapons until later but I found it quicker to just shoot everyone in the head.

I used to steal the cop car just for an extra shotgun to take around with me for safe measure.

In the game hub where you controlled your own base, upgrades, favours, and received status updates on your progress (i.e. invasions or being invaded), I found out I could buy an infinite ammo upgrade.... hence I spammed. I do not recall how favours are earned/spent.

Raiding another player's base always meant time-attack. You'd have to solo every square on their turf before the main gates would open. Each "square" had an invisible boundary where enemies weren't allowed to leave; I used that to my advantage. Once you reached the elevator, you'd meet some thugs and the opponent's player. Late into the closed beta, everything was pretty linear but I enjoyed playing for what it is.

I really miss Sleeping Dogs and hope it does come back one day as a sequel.

patiently waiting for someone to make a vita version of sleeping dogs…now’s the time to start if you haven’t already..

I got SD Definitive Edition a couple of days ago because I had some good memories with the game, but never finished it.
Right now I'm doing as many races as I can to raise my Face level and I've noticed that the racing times make absolutely no sense. First of all, it is always the same names in the same order. And it never corelates with the actual race. They can be up in my spoiler just before the finish line and the result will still say they are almost a minute behind.

2.0 update for SPatch

Finally got around to playing this amazing game. I saw a way to fix the constant crashing and it definitely helped but still crashed a bit.

Anyways, crazy fucking game. I loved the story, I loved Wei. The parkour, shooting, melee combat, and driving, all fun. Also the radio stations are goated. I did every single race naturally because they were so fun especially with the tunes from Warp radio.

What is there to say, I feel terrible for Jackie, I knew Pendrill was dirty about half way through, but him killing Uncle Po got me off guard.

I just had to make this post because I really can’t believe I got around to finally beating it. And with how much Chinese games are taking off, believe me, Sleeping Dogs 2 or a spiritual successor could really happen at some point.

I want to know if sleeping dogs definitive edition has a first pov mod cuz i think it would be quite fun to drive around with.

E logrado hacer las 50 trabajos pero al completarlo se me reincio algunas estadísticas como carreras pero simplemente e repetido misiones de las Citas y lo de Tran con sus vehiculos se reinicaron asi que no creo que sea eso, termine el torneo del Zodiaco, esta lo del carro Dz 50 o dz 90 no se como llama ese carro con pistolas arriba, esta la mil filos creo, el que te da una cuchilla de carnicero dorado, no se que me falta, mas aun tengo todos los logros se supone que todo esta echo solo me falta este logro de Inspector Chief ayuda porfavvvvvvvv

"Con lo que haya en la mano" El logro de usar 10 armas cuerpo a cuerpo creo, no se que hacer e visto videos de muchas misiones y no se que arma de falta, en los civiles qué usan paraguas y bolsos no se si cuentan ya que pregunte a Google y dicen que es opcional 😭😭
